Save time and your back
So glad I bought this, it makes leaf clean up so much easier. It can pick you a good amount of leafs, holds them tightly while you empty it into a grass bag/bin. It’s well made and helps save time doing yard work. Super easy to assemble. Handles adjustable with is great.

So easy to pick up yard debris without straining my back!
I'm a gadget guy, so I had to try this product. Having a back injury, it's difficult to bend over or kneel to pick up yard debris.......but no need to now with this thing! It's designed to open and close like a pair of scissors and has handles that can be adjusted to your height and comfort. I raked out my garden beds with aged mulch, leaves and shrubbery clippings. I then easily scooped up all the debris and put it into a wheelbarrow. The paddles that scoop the clippings are designed like a rake that interconnect to allow you to pick up debris as small as a pebble. After cleaning up the debris, three sweeps with a rake and the remaining dirt is mixed into the grass. It is even sturdy enough to pick up clumps of sod that the snow plow dug up. It works best when picking up debris from the grass as opposed to the sidewalk, so i just rake everything onto the lawn now. No more getting stuck with thorns from rose bush clippings or the sharp needles from pines and junipers. Great product!

Worksbut heavy
Update - boyfriend is using this all the time now to pick up leaves. he views it help keeps any creepy crawlies in the leaves away from him. As other consumers have noted these are heavy. Would have preferred lighter and a little shorter (I am 5'0, however these can pick up a quantity of leaves. I have to hold them out so, when closed, the ends don't hit my belly when moving leaves to a bin. If the handles were able to go even shorter that might not be an issue. I haven't used them for any length of time but will be interesting to see if the weight gets to my hands, wrists or back. I was originally going to buy the hand claw ones but when I saw these I felt they would be helpful in not having to bend as much......which gets my heartburn to act up. There don't seem to be many options when shopping for leaf grabbers. These do seem durable although the locking mechanism to keep them all the way open seems iffy. For my needs I won't be using them that way. Also at 50 dollars these are pricey though that all of these types run expensive (IMO) To sum up - i may keep these but the locking mechanism if you want them long may not hold, they are heavy and the ability for the handles to go shorter would have been better for me. If i find my hands or back don't become achy I will up my stars given.

These are a must have for leave pick up
It can get pretty clumsy having to hold two rakes. We have a large wooded yard and alternate between blowing leaves into the woods and picking up/ mulching and bagging. These are super easy to use and made picking up the leaves much easier. Grabbed a good bunch of leaves and easy to pick up from the ground. These are well made, the size is perfect for myself or my husband. The grips are good and make it easy to control the rake.

Works Well Easily
Everybody get you one of these! It kept me from having to bend over to pick up leaves. I did rake the leaves into a larger pile so I could pick up more at once, but that wasn't necessary, it was my choice. A small complaint is I had a hard time locking the handles when they were extended. It took more strength than I had to twist them tight enough to stay. That's a minor issue which didn't preclude me using the tool and the ease with which I used it.

An innovative design that with some additional help could be perfect
First the good: This is a well thought out tool design. Even with its flaws, it makes picking up wet leaves MUCH easier. I live in the Pacific Northwest, and I been using this tool almost every day since it was purchased. Now the bad: The execution of the design is not as good. As already reported by others, the locking mechanism on the adjustable handles doesn't lock well. It started working well, but after the ninth of tenth use, I was unable to get the handles to lock in place. I tried cleaning the inside handle, but no improvement. I'm considering drilling several holes through both handles and bolting a pin through a hole in each handle to secure it in place. After many uses, I've determined that adjustability is less important to me than ensuring the handles stay in place at that "ideal" length. A great fix would be to use spring-loaded pins that would pop through a number of holes in each handle. You could adjust the handle length my pressing the pin down and sliding the outer handle up or down through the appropriate hole. Once the pin pops through the hole, the handle will not slide until pressed down again. Again this is a good tool that could become a GREAT tool with just a bit more engineering.

excellent
The "lock" for the telescopic length adjustment is weak... while using the grabber one or both sides unlock easily. An easy fix is to wrap some electicians tape around the joint. That's my only complaint. They sure save your back picking up the raked leaves.

Bestes Gartengadget ever!
Beste Erfindung seit der Harke. Endlich kann ich Laub aufsammeln ohne mich bücken zu müssen, auch das Laub aus den Kellerschächten zu holen geht sehr gut.
