Twelve new tracks from founder of the Cro-Mags, the always controversial Harley Flanagan. Brutality in the vein of the Cro-Mags' Age of Quarrel and Revenge exploding with heavy intensity and pure anger. The return of the NYHC icon!

Harley is back with a vengeance. Some of my favorite tracks on the album include: "Guilty until proven innocent," "I come in peace," "Can't give in," and "Don't tell me." The album is not a classic like AOQ or Best Wishes, but it is a must for any Cro-mags fan and fan of NYC hardcore in general.

Harley Flanagan in classic form!
An incredible hardcore ride from Harley Flanagan! Blistering hardcore tracks, broken up by a few slower musical tracks/ soundclips from the Webster Hall incident. Reminds me of Bad Brains's punk fury with interludes of their reggae cuts. Instant classic!

Mess With The Bull
28 minute freight train of an l.p. by the man himself, NYC LES OG, Harley Flanagan. I just read his unbelievable autobiography. This album is like a final chapter. Hard Core Bad Ass.

Awesome album. Bought this so I could hear what's new before the Misfits show in NJ. Harley is still the man! The album will fuel my workouts for a long time to come.

Harley's Revenge
here we have some new music from Cro-Mags founder Harley Flanagan . It's not so much a concept album but a catharsis for the legendary bassist . Although entirely too short in its duration for the price ( a mere 24 minutes ) , this is a visceral and brutal collection of songs . Musically , this could be a prequel to the excellent Revenge album sans Rocky George and Parris Mayhew . Harley tears through 12 tracks of pure aggression. Lyrically , this is nothing more than Mr. Flanagan venting about the infamous stabbing incident at Webster Hall . Harley talks about being betrayed by fair-weather friends and disloyalty in the NYHC . Production-wise , this is a raw DIY release ; it has the feel of a demo or ep . Some of the songs are actually interludes that serve as intros/outros for longer songs . Most of the samples serve as filler to add atmosphere to the songwriting . You're only actually getting like 8 full songs out of this if you exclude the filler . I would have like Harley's vocals to be higher in the mix, too . Make no mistake , though, this is vicious NYHC hardcore in the vein of Cro-mags' Revenge and Harley's War . Mr. Flanagan proves that he still has the aggression and guitar chops to make authentic hardcore punk just as he did on Best Wishes . One of my favorite songs is I'll F*CK YOU UP ..which is just a wall of bass and heavy riffing ( with a spoken word intro by Harley's son ) . Unfortunately , the crew that he has with him are merely serviceable . Had this album been longer with the help of Paris or Rocky again ...it would have probably been the perfect storm . Instead , what we get is a founding member ranting and raving for an ep worth of material . Abrasive and tough as nails , this is an enjoyable listen for what it's worth . It doesn't reach the brilliance of Revenge or Best Wishes but it seems more impassioned than Harley's War . Fork over the cash and support real NYHC . It's good to hear new music from this guy again . In the meantime , I'll keep praying that the original Cro-mags lineup will reunite ..but I'm not holding my breath !
