Oasis - Familiar to Millions: Live At Wembley

I had high expectations for this DVD, and I was happy to have them exceeded. There are a few flaws- 1) the 5.0 sound is pretty good, but it is VERY (read: too) conservative in volume and bass, and 2) the set list is good but omits a few of Oasis' best songs.With that said, the picture is as good as a NTSC gets, it's very nicely directed with high energy camera work and video bits mixed in at appropriate times, and the gig itself is quite good. If this DVD was only the concert it would merit 4 stars.As a bonus, the extras are almost worthy of a 2nd DVD. In addition to playing with different camera angles, there is a fun documentary showing rabid fans before, during and after the concert and a short but sweet interview with each of the Gallagher brothers in seperate locations. There are many other good extras, but the best is the seperate video clips that were assembled for the screens behind the band during the gig. These 5 videos are set to the original studio music tracks and would make wonderful REAL music videos- better than almost everything on MTV these days. I won't ruin the surprise for you, but I suggest watching the videos before the concert- AT LEAST the one for "Live Forever".If you like Oasis and have a DVD player, consider this a must purchase. If you want to experience a great Rock and Roll concert at home, it doesn't get much better than this.

The Gallagher brothers were at their prime in this show. Noel's voice is great and his guitar playing is up there with the best of them. He really is an underrated player. Liam's voice was great and didn't get overly whiny and stretched out the way I feel it went in the years following. If you can't see Oasis like this, the next best thing is Noel's shows which have a lot of stripped down versions of the songs, but it's great to look back on this video and see their best hits in front of such a huge audience. The camera angles are great and the sound quality is crisp. One of the best live concerts I've actually seen.

Couldn't believe it but I finally have the disc in my hands after months of delays. :-)The picture quality of the disc is rather stunning. I kept saying to myself just how *good* and crisp it looks. The colors were very well rendered and vibrant. Easily scores a 10 on video presentation.Audio left me a bit disappointed though. On the CD, I could make out the vocals with ease but the DVD had a lot more bass to it leaving the singing a bit muddled at times.Very nice use of the extras along with animated menus, very smooth and professional.My biggest complaint lies with the documentary. Very little of the band is shown and what we end up seeing are some of the most drunken... on the face of the earth...at least I hope they were because if that's how they act sober and mentally "fit" then I am truly frightened for the people of England. Rather embarassing to say the least. I understand Noel himself was less than complimentary about the fans shown. There were moments I literally had to look away from the screen, as I closed my eyes I thought "These people are allowed in public????"Regardless of the "documentary", this is absolutely THE best looking concert DVD I have watched and I must say, well worth the wait!....

I own all of the Oasis CD's, and I am a huge fan of theirs. But this DVD is simply amazing. The audio is perfect quality, with just the right amount of crowd noise mixed with the band to set a great atmosphere. I own DVD concerts by U2, Bruce Springsteen, and Travis, and this Oasis DVD blows them all away with its amazing editing and good bonus features. Step Out, Don't Look Back in Anger, and Rock and Roll Star are simply perfect on this DVD. I highly recommend this DVD!!!

I have totally enjoyed this DVD, since I bought it in England. It is fantastic! It feels you are right there w/ the crowd! The music sounds great, the picture is crystal clear, and the essence is pure British rock at the finest. The different camera angles on "Cigarettes and Alcohol" make you feel you are the director of the show. The wit onstage is hilarious w/ a slight scuffle of Noel vs. Liam. It is a classic, must-buy for any Oasis fan. Especially if you are mad fer it. Cheers!

What a great concert to watch by the best band of all time. Really shows how good they were as a live band!

Dvd will not play on anything I own! I'm sure its a great dvd, but being unable to view it leaves the new owner less than pleased.

リージョン１ですが、ＰＳ２でも見れました。買いですぜ!!oasis最高～!!

録音の音声はステレオ：5.0chの2タイプですが、5.1chでなく、5.0ｃｈの時点で怪しいと思いましたが、あんのじょう5.0chで聞いたら音が非常に小さいし、ボーカルの声が全然聞こえない！5.0ｃｈのため、ウーハーが機能しないため、重低音が何もない！　ステレオで聞いても当たり前ですが、最悪！唯一は値段が安いだけ。映像的にはかっこいいし、問題はありません。　とりあえず、ホームシアターを使っている人は音声は覚悟して買うべき？買わないべき？
