My washing machine works now!
My Neptune stopped spinning about a month ago. When this happened, we noticed a faint burndy smell. If you google the symptoms (Maytag Neptune doesn't spin, burnt smell), you may find that your problem was a "wax motor". This was the case for my machine: the wax motor was bad and there were 2 parts on the circuit board that needed replacing. According to the web, is a very common problem with these Maytags.I called a repair man who wanted to replace the whole circuit board in addition to the wax motor, but my husband thought this kit was worth a try. It did the job. The instructions were excellent. My washer had been running great for 15 years and now it is back in operating condition.

overpriced! buy the parts
come on, I wouldn't say anything if it weren't so overpriced. buy the 3.9K resistor 1/2 watt, (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002KR3C6/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A21IULW0FD6NPA&psc=1)the MAC97A8 diode, and a maytag wax motor. when you search the 3.9k ohm resistor, it will show you a package of all 3 for about $20. good deal.
