Strike King Shadalicious Swimbait

Very soft and flexible for great action when trolling. Caught some big walleyes in Canada 2 weeks ago. Not a solid piece, has a long hollow slot down the center which is not visible until I cut off the head section when it got chewed up too much to re-hook. That feature probably contributes to its great flexibility and waggle action. They action was so good that I wanted to cut off the chewed up head section and re-hook farther back in the body but the center slot made that impossible. Would not have mattered but the walleyes chewed up the last two that I had with me on the trip!I plan to bring some down to Florida this winter.

Baits fall apart on the hook

I got the 5.5 they look really big compared to most solid body swim baits of the same length. The action looks really good but they ripped of just casting, maybe they hit some weeds but no bites and they are pretty much useless now the nose ripped and the back where the hook comes out. I used 1/2oz jig head on one and a belly weight 1/8 hook on another both in 4/0 size, both ripped within 10 casts. I should've got the smaller ones though after looking at these, no doubt they'll all catch fish but these are big and maybe caused to rip faster. But looking at the other reviews I wonder what size they're reviewing.

These should work just fine, Shipment was delivered early, bait bodies are soft and should swim with ease. Diagram on the back with instructions for three different rigs. Lots of movement. The forecast is looking better for outdoor activities like fishing so I'll add to this review in a month.4/6/2018

Catches fish. Used it once and it got action on the lake when nothing else did. Just a word of caution, when inserting the hook make sure the hook goes all the way through before rolling it back up, the bait is wrapped in a plastic seal and if it tears water gets under the skin and causes it to swim erratic

Good action, good color, but I have to take a star off, because after one catch, you will have a hole in this hollow body. You will go through a lot and these arent the cheapest. Caught a lot of fish on these for some reason though.

While I'm not much of a swimbait fan, the Shadalicious makes me reconsider my position. For me most swimbaits are too inconsistent when it comes to their action; however, the Shadalicious by Strike King is very consistent and supple. I think the suppleness of the lure is one of its major attractions to bass, and when teamed with an Alabama Rig it is deadly!
