Great book!! I've crocheted for awhile now and have moved from beginner patterns to experienced but I still found this book quite enjoyable. The patterns are all beginner friendly and work up quickly. I have made several of the items and have not been disappointed. Some reviewers have commented that the patterns are not hard or interesting enough but I feel that even experienced crocheters sometimes just want to relax and make something cute. This is particularly true when you have lots of Christmas presents to make!! The patterns do call for cheaper (doesn't mean ugly!) yarn but the experienced crocheter should have no problem finding more expensive yarn of the same weight. The patterns are also young and fresh....... perfect for getting teens and young adults interested in the finer art of hand crocheting. Looking at the models, I assume that was the original intent anyway. This book has become a go to for whipping up quick and cute projects..... so glad I bought it!!!

I love this crochet book!! I have read through quite a few crochet books, either from ones I have purchased or ones at the library. Most of the time I get a book and there are only a handful of patterns that I really love and want to make. Not this book, I want to make every. single. pattern in here. Seriously, I love them all. The day it arrived I busted out my yarn and made the Chunky Ribbed Scarf and I LOVE it.This would be a perfect gift for anyone who is just starting out with Crocheting. The patterns are well written and easy to read and most of the patterns are simple but give you chic, boutique quality looking finished products that who ever receives this book will be making something for everyone in their life.If you buy one crochet book today, it should be this one. Awesome book!

I love this book. LOVE! I am so happy I decided to finally purchase it from my Wish List! The patterns are super easy, but deliver pretty accessories and are super easy to work up. This is definitely a GREAT book for a beginner (especially those 20-30 somethings!) but is also a great addition to the book collection for those of us more advanced. These are awesome patterns to make for quick, last-minute gifts too. I have so many projects flagged to make and I can't wait to get started (if I can figure out where to start!). I also love how the yarn is PRACTICAL and I can pick it up at my local chain craft store on sale or at least for an affordable price.If you are curious at all (and you must be if you read the reviews!) you will not regret buying this book!

I loved just looking through this book! As soon as I complete my present project, I can't wait to get started on variety offered in this book: hats to lampshade...great price too! I am 67 and think the projects will make great gifts for friends and family of different ages. Not for " old lady" taste...thank goodness!

Love this book. Lots of patterns I like, and easy to follow. Yes, this book was made for beginners, but that's ok. Sometimes you just want a book of "no-brainer" patterns to do while relaxing and watching t.v. Not everything needs to be a challenge to be fun. Would recommend this book, and yes, you can find these patterns in Ravelry, but sometimes it is nice to have them in a book.

I LOVE this book, and all of the projects inside! Not only are the various projects stylish, hip, and suitable for a wide range of ages, the patterns are well written and easy enough for someone who is new to crochet. Even better, most of the yarns used in these projects are ones that can be easily found at your local craft store (I.e., Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick and Quick, Baby's First, Caron Simply Soft, Bernat Super Value, etc.). I was so excited to see what beautiful scarves, cowls, hats, clutches, etc., could be made using these easily-attainable yarns! I would wear/ use just about everything in this book---and I am a 43 year old mother of three little ones. Best pattern book I own. It's a gold-mine... I highly recommend it!

Crochet Boutique contains very stylish and extremely simple to make patterns that even a crocheting novice such as myself can make with literally no struggle. I made the scarf on the front cover, and it is warm as toast...seriously! If you're just starting out with crochet and want to make cute items, this book is for you.My one caveat is that the author recommends some pricey yarn to make the projects with (mostly made of baby alpaca), but you can easily substitute acrylic yarn as long as it's the same weight, etc.

I received this book as a gift from my sister. She immediately asked me if I would make her the slouchy hat featured on the cover. I am an intermediate lever crocheter, and I had her hat done - start to finish - in one evening. It was easy to do: the photography in this book is beautiful and the patten itself was written both clearly as well as accurately. I am excited about making many more items featured in this book, both for myself and as gifts for loved ones. If you are interested in crocheting fashionable, functional items as gifts - and for yourself - you can't go wrong with this one. Good luck!

This book is ok and it has some good patterns in it. A lot of the patterns are in chunky (bulky) wool and the hooks are massive 10-15mm. I do love the scarves and cowls and I have crocheted 3 of them.However, a lot of these patterns I have seen their equivalent for free on ravelry. I mainly bought the book for the Geraldine Circle Scarf and that pattern is good. Some of the patterns though are too basic like the Chunky ribbed scarf and the boy beanie.I think the book is worth the price if you want a book that collected together chunky accessories that look very fashionable.p.s. the book is in American crochet terms.

I like the patterns lots of stuff I feel would make nice gifts (lots of hats and scarfs), most of the patterns use heavy weight yarns and big hooks so quick and easy to make up. The photography is pretty poor though the images aren't very sharp which is annoying when your trying to see what your stitch looks like.

Wonderful book - so many patterns to choose from and easily followed - even by a beginner - which I am! Prompt delivery - excellent packaging.

Make something different trendy ideas takes crochet out of the cranny range into the young one's.
