Fit as expected at FIRST . . . . but DO NOT WASH IT . . . . . This item was order with 6 other Jostar stretchy dresses . . . . I LOVE THESE DRESSES and I have been buying them now for over 3 years . . . . first found these dresses at a flea market in Bradenton FL . . . then I started ordering from Amazon . . . . almost all of them have lived up to the Jostar names in quality and great patterns . . . . but this one black dress from this seller SUCKS big time do not order from here . . . . I just wear this dress once and just washed it and it has lost it sharp & size . . . . gain 6 inches in length and the neck is now way to big and hangs too low . . . . I am not sure but I am guess these are BOOT LEG poor copy of the original Jostar items and not truly a Jostar dress at all . . . . NOT at all happy . . . . note it was washed with other Jostar dresses which DID NOT DO THIS . . . . NEVER had this happen and I have been wear & washing these Jostar dress since early 2013 sometime. DO NOT ORDER from this seller. Funny thing is tags match but just not the same quality of material . . . . . you can feel it in the touch!

This is a VERY stretchy item and thus extremely comfortable. Love that. However, at 5'4" and 150lbs, I should have gotten the size small so as not to feel like I'm wearing my mother's clothes. That being said, I next purchased a stretchy belt which took care of any oversize-appearance problems AND the dress went from the nightgown look to appropriate casual wear out in public. In sunlight, however, it appears very shiny. I attracted the notice of several teenaged girls when I was out walking the dog. I don't think that's a good thing. However, my own teen daughter looked it up and down and said it was very pretty. As I work at home sitting at my desk 10 hours a day, this really is a wonderful dress to work in. It's very stretchy, very comfortable, very forgiving, very pretty and I feel like I'm dressed and ready for the day rather than a sleepyhead who just got up and staggered into my home office with hair sticking up all over the place and sleep crusties still in my eyes. As stated above, this can be super casual or dressed up with a belt or some kind of clip at the small of the back to give a more defined waistline if wearing out in public. I did purchase 2 more of the Jostar dresses at the same time with a patterned fabric. I saw later that they have sleeved dresses as well as 2 piece outfits in the same fabric, which I may look into. I do wish I had gotten the size small but have decided not to bother with an exchange since most of my wear will be in the home.Word to the wise, if you are a small person, the size small is likely going to be large on you so take this into consideration if you are purchasing to wear in public.

I wear nothing but JoStar long dresses. It is my uniform every day. Unlike pure polyester, this poly/spandex material "breathes." I don't know why because polyester doesn't breath and spandex feels like wearing a garbage bag, but put the two together and it breathes. This material is also very sturdy. It goes into the wash machine and the dryer multiple times and continues to look virtually brand new. This material will survive the nuclear blast! When we are long dead this material will be looking good. The only thing that bothers it is guinea pig claws. If you hold your guinea pig it will create little 'pulls' in the cloth that don't look so nice. The cut of this dress is very flattering, and if you gain or lose a bit of weight it will not matter. JoStar makes a nice short sleeve jacket that goes great with this dress. I wish there were more patterns but that is my only complaint. This material packs well, and you can get lots of them into a drawer. They don't need to be folded or hung up. You can tie them in a knot and they will not wrinkle ever. They are the best!

Bought this for my son's commencement in Florida this past weekend. I wanted it to wear under a beautiful white fringed georgette open cardigan. At first, when I received it, the dress had stains on it but I decided to hand wash the areas and they all came out immediately.As I was looking at the reviews before I ordered, I read many people stated that it ran big and long. That wasn't the case with mine. Maybe it all depends on the color but the length on the white was perfect for my height (5'3"). It was a mid-length and I wore low sandals with it. Also, it was not big at all (I'm a size 16/xl depending on designer) I did need to wear a full length slip because it was white.I'm extremely happy with this purchase and will buy other colors hoping that they fit the same. Very well made compared to other companies.Jostar is on my favorite list especially now that the summer is almost here!!

I am 5'3" and about 170 with a small frame. My bust is about 38DD. I expected to wear at least a LARGE but based on the reviews I ordered a MEDIUM. Fits really nice. Perfect. I ordered white. The fabric has a good drape and weight to it, however out in sunlight be sure to wear undergarments that cover well. White looks super nice with a tan. I just wear skin tone bra and underpants. I swim a lot so am fairly athletic build. This dress looks so pretty with plain flat sandals or just colorful flip flops. The best thing for me is the length. Because I am short with short legs, it's difficult to find a longer dress that doesn't drag on the ground! This dress hits exactly at mid calf. I have ordered another in taupe and may buy a third color in the future. These are so perfect for travel. Black would be great for a younger woman because it could be dressed up so easily and go out to clubs. LOVE it.

This is a free form dress which is perfect loose or belted. I purchased it to wear at a wedding and placed an open weave 'sweater' over the top along with western boots. Another time it was worn belted with high heeled sandals. I truly want to purchase more in a variety of colors. In addition to this, it does not need to be hung, it is stored in a drawer an does not wrinkle. It's fun!
