Running with heavy camera / so far so good.
Fantastic build quality. Was concerned it would be a cheap plastic piece molded to another plastic piece. Is shockingly secure. I ran with my canon R5 and a 28-70 f2 mounted about a half mile through the Bonneville salt flats because a wind storm kicked up and had to run to the car. I didn’t even think about the tacdraw at the time because I was literally running as fast as I could. The tacdraw did not fail. 2 days later again I’m running from a rainstorm in the Saltair beach in SLC (again caught in a storm), and tacdraw did not fail me. Well made. Feels like quality parts. Will see longevity.

TERRIBLE PRODUCT!
If the purpose of this device is to keep your camera safe while attached to your hip, like the Famous Spider Holster...IT FAILS MISERABLY IN its mission. I owned the Spider Holder for 5 years, and needed a new one, but didn’t want to spend the money. This device looked ideal! It wasn’t. My camera was securely attached, and yet I needed to keep tightening the screw throughout the wedding I was shooting. One tragic moment had my Sony a7r3 crash to the ground!!!!

Works Great!
Works as advertised! I use it to attach a digital recorder to my side to record audio. I am not bound to a wire that keeps me stationary. It's like recording wirelessly with the sound of a wired mic--no noise or interference, and I can move around.

Handy, but not dandy to use.
Well, it seems like folks are buying this...not sure why no previous reviews?Firstly... Manufacturer is not very clear about the material that the paddle is made from. Is it fiber reinforced... maybe or maybe not? It is flexible enough to make dawning on and off waist belts somewhat easy, but pulling on it too much, I would not recommend it. The 5 pound limit... given the amount of flex allowed, I would say that it will come apart at greater than 15 pounds force. If I'm wrong, then it should have been printed something about it...on the box, users manual or something? Can't find much on the web about it either, I would guess that the truth might turn-off potential buyers? My thoughts on the product from the first day:Does what it is supposed to...Holds my cameras. If you have a dSLR with a battery grip...bad idea due to fore mentioned 5 pound limit. The configuration of the holster puts the camera out much further from your body than the likes of a Spider system. This setup is best suited for working within an area, not optimal where travelling around is not needed. One could easily wack this hip mount against common objects such as gates, door knobs, chairs. Given the unknown strength of the connected joint between the paddle and mount lobe, I would worry that the material may fracture easily. I didn't find the holster too uncomfortable walking around, but sitting is another issue. Pulling it around to an angle help with sitting, but torque to the camera and joint may be an issue long term. I tested the implied quick draw design of the system and it is in reality a limited feature. I found I could one hand the release, but not consistently. The metal mounting system does seem solid, so no obvious issues found there. The camera plate has a generous big winged screw and does work well. When walking around and carefully, it still can generate some flopping/flexing from the joint of the paddle and again, not knowing the material is an issue. I may snake a safety tether on the back of the mount lobe and loop to my belt if I plan to do a long hike. Also, a bummer that you can't buy extra plates. To sum up... It is good enough for small area use, but I'm not confident I could walk far with it. The stand off alone is going to limit my use as it seems very likely to snag on plants and gates. Couldn't quickly get in and out of a car for the "action situations" as the video promo hints.I'll keep trying it out and see. Will update.

that it is really well built and have no fear of camera falling out of holster
Haven't quite been able to get camera out of holster smoothly yet. It takes both hands at this time.

Perfect for an HTC VIVE Tracker!
I know this wasn't the intended use but I purchased this device to hold in place my HTC Vive tracker on my waist. This holster is awesome! Holds the puck without rotating around freely or allowing bounce, easy to remove or apply. Stays in place like an actual holster does not move back and forth. Awesome and great buy! Will definitely need a second for my actual DSLR!

Bad design
Weak and uncomfortable big piece of plastic under your belt.
