True Blue Lake and Pond Dye - 6 Pack

I have been using this product for years in my personal home pond. It gives the pond a beautiful shade of blue I have even used the black it also works very well. I prefer the blue. Have received many complements on the way the pond looks. It does cut down on the sunlight penetration and helps control weeds although other things have to be done in order to control all the weeds. It has had no effects on the bass and blue gill population.

Thankfully the packs are in a foil packet. 2 of the 3 I've used so far have had the water soluble packet busted open. One only had a small opening and the other was completely busted up (however this may have been due to how my BF handled it before I opened it). We've had very little algae (a little along the shallow banks) and no duckweed in our pond this year. This is the only product we're using to deal with algae and duckweed.

The inner packet had leaked powder into the outer packet so it was impossible to use without getting the blue stuff EVERYWHERE! It was on my jacket, boots, tracked up to the house, in the garage............what a mess! I will go back to the liquid.

Great product, keeps algae under control

The Pond dye is great and really convenient, just take the packets out of the outer-wrapping and throw them in the pond. The bag that holds the dye dissolves slowly and allows the dye to escape slowly. The shipping however took 3 weeks and when I contacted the vendor, he was very courteous but then blamed the delay on Amazon. If you're not in a hurry, I recommend this product whole heartedly but get it from another vendor!

I have tried everything to prevent alge bloom. This pond dye works.

I like the blac better seems to prevent the alge growth better than the blue dye...but still works to keep it under semi-control
