and it worked MUCH better. Trust me
This pen isn't supposed to print in PLA. It's meant for ABS. I bought a few of them, and they ALL BROKE quickly. I got ajnother one, and used ABS, and it worked MUCH better. Trust me, buy a different pen, or buy your own roll of ABS.

Poor quality
Broke exactly two months after purchase and limited use. The front end of the pen broke off while I was using it. I might be able to fix it, but pretty poor quality at least on the one I got.

Keep your exptectations in check and you might be OK.
This is an excellent example of a great concept that doesn't translate too well to the real world. I expected this to be hard to use but it beat my expectations by far. NOT for children. Perhaps it takes a lot of practice? Feeding and ejecting the filament does not always work smoothly; there is the need to push or pull manually to un-jam. It is not posible to draw in mid air. You need something to hold the filament in place as it cools. The pen does not work at all speeds (problems at the extremes). It's a cool gadget.
