Review: Excellent Quality IPA – Very Useful Around the Home and Workshop - Bought this 1L bottle of IPA (isopropyl alcohol) for cleaning and general maintenance tasks, and it's been excellent. The alcohol evaporates quickly, leaves very little residue, and does a great job of removing grease, adhesive residue, dirt, and other contaminants. The bottle was well sealed on arrival and easy to use without making a mess. Having a full litre provides plenty of product for multiple jobs, making it good value for money. I've used it for cleaning tools, electronic components, and various household items, and it's worked exactly as expected every time. It's one of those products that's incredibly handy to have available when needed. Overall, a high-quality product that does the job perfectly. I'd definitely purchase it again.
Review: Fantastic surface preparation that guarantees a rock-solid adhesive bond - With summer just around the corner, I have been getting our home climate control sorted out. My portable air conditioning unit—the MeacoCool Pro Series 10,000 (which I have reviewed in detail elsewhere)—is now a year old, and I needed to replace the Velcro strips around the window frame that hold the flexible window seal in place. Our windows are uPVC, which is a notoriously difficult material to get any sort of adhesive tape to stick to strongly at the best of times. When you add the layer of stubborn, residual glue left behind from last year's setup into the mix, the task becomes doubly difficult. To tackle this, I first wiped the frames down with warm water and washing up liquid to remove the surface grime. Once they were completely dry, I poured a small amount of this 99.99% Isopropanol Alcohol onto a piece of kitchen roll and thoroughly rubbed down the uPVC frames. It worked like an absolute charm. The alcohol completely dissolved the old, sticky residue and degreased the frames perfectly. Thanks to this thorough preparation, the new hook and loop tape—the heavy-duty JelKen adhesive strips, which I also plan to review separately—stuck perfectly on the very first attempt and immediately took a incredibly strong, permanent grip. I noticed a few other reviewers had mentioned issues with the bottle leaking in transit or having a poor cap seal, but I experienced none of that whatsoever. My bottle arrived in pristine condition with the inner seal fully intact. In fact, after I had already cracked it open and screwed the top back on, I managed to clumsily knock the bottle right off the top of the air conditioning unit while reaching up to work on the bedroom window. Despite my momentary panic as it hit the floor, the cap held beautifully and not a single drop leaked out. **Q: Will this remove glue from car bodywork after using dent removing tool**
A: I use it at work for removing substances from metal, but don't know about paint

**Q: Will this clean my glass bong**
A: Alcohol dissolves and removes fat/lipids but has a tendency to "bake" organic material onto surfaces as it is fast evaporating and takes away the moisture/water from the hard surface it gets applied to thus potentially making the cleaning more difficult. However this is dependent on the proportion of area to be cleaned vs amount of alcohol applied.

**Q: Could this be used to remove Indian ink from vinyl flooring? It’s a large spillage**
A: I cannot say with certainty. I suggest you email the distributor. I will say this is a relatively strong polymeric cleaner, which I use to clean edges and faces of laminate worksurfaces. It has a relatively high alcohol content and cleans my materials well. If I was facing the described situation, and given the relatively low cost, I might try this cleaner on a small and less noticeable area and review the result.

**Q: Can this be used for cleaning cuts, burns, scrapes, and scratches please?**
A: Its a bit strong at 99.9% if you dilute it with 30% clean water it would be fine. Alternatively, buy Rubbing IPA which is generally 70%.  The stronger undiluted IPA can damage sensitive skin
