My Guardian - Child Safety Restraint Car Seat Accessory Small 20-32 Lbs

Our daughter is almost 3, has Down Syndrome, and has been escaping from her car seat pretty much every journey we've taken for the past year or so, which has been stressful, time-consuming and dangerous. We bought this having tried numerous other strategies with no success. It arrived the day before we left for a 2,500 mile road-trip and we were thrilled that it not only worked, but that our daughter was comfortable and happy in it.

Baby number five proved to be the best little Houdini of them all! (All my other kids got out of their car seats too but not as often)Right around when he started walking he discovered the joy of escaping from his car seat (top of the line britax with 5 point harness) and climbing around the backseat, all while I was in heavy traffic on the freeway in Orange County, not fun! I had to pull over every few minutes to re fasten him and even tried swaddling him and buckling him in his seat that way, he still escaped! And it made all his siblings late to school several times.I shared my frustrations online and a friend found this product for me. This product saved mine and my family's sanity. It has been a lifesaver not having to pull over constantly and he actually likes wearing it, and I like that it keeps the car seat straps from digging into his shoulders. I even bought one for his high chair (recommend scotch guarding it though).FYI I looked everywhere for this item as I didn't want to wait for shipping, babies r us, toys R us, sears, boutiques, I could only find it online, so save yourself a headache and just order it. I'm a cheapskate but this was the best $30 I ever spent.

Runs small

Says from 20-32 pounds but is very tight around my 26 pound daughter

My daughter escaped anyways... she couldn't escape from the jacket but she took her legs out (without unbuckling the belt) and turned (don't ask me how.. she's very flexible apparently) and almost strangled herself... Not sure how or why happened exactly... but didn't work for us.

I think it would have, however the one I ordered was to small and a Medium was not availability. I have friends that had them they work great.

I have a 3 yr. old that has been using this since he was 2 1/2 and it has been great! We got him so excited about his "carseat jacket" that he didn't ever seem to remember that he couldn't get his arms out anymore.I look forward to having this for my youngest child. We will start using this when he is old enough for a forward facing carseat and will not have to go through the headache of pulling over to adjust the carseat straps and put his arms back in place.
