Great value for the money.
This is a great value for the money. The previous reviews with schematics were good, but my light bar was different. Three wires, black, yellow and blue. Black is ground and both lights are solid, no blinking or flowing. I saw it flowing for the first try, but that's it. Turned solid after that. I'll try calling support, but not a big issue for me, my break lights are quite catchy as they are. The rubber pieces on the top lid are not very good, they fell off on first day. And boy that was some noisy lid after that. I used a leftover strip that covered most of it. Now it is snuggly and closes tight.

Not bad overall, good value for the low price.
Minor adjustments to fit my bike (2015 Kawasaki Vaquero). Drilled new holes and notched the braces (seen from inside), cut down one bracket on the underside to fit the rack. Ridges on the inside bottom prevented me from angling the brackets to match the tapered shape of the rack as I originally wanted. It does set far enough back for me to wear a backpack with the driver backrest removed. I used Gorilla(R) Tape to cover the extra holes which has been effective so far in keeping rain out. I was concerned that there is not weatherstripping around the lid, but after two rides in the rain it appears the box is sheltered enough and the lid overlaps the bottom to keep water out, so pleasantly surprised there. As others have mentioned, the hinge and lock are on the cheaper side, which is most likely a factor in the low price for the trunk. I made sure to put blue thread-lock/lock-tite on all bolts - the four used to install and the three smaller ones that are part of the latch. 4 Weeks of daily riding and it is all still together at this point. I'm a bit concerned how the plastic will hold in the coming single-digit temps - doesn't appear to be the type to become brittle and crack but I'll update if it does. The light on the back does not have dim/bright (run/brake) switching. It has either a bright solid as seen in the ad, or bright travelling light from middle out to both sides. If both are energized, the solid overrides the traveling lights. This is unfortunate because I bought this case mostly to increase my visibility beyond the small taillight and was hoping for run/brake option. This only improves my visibility when braking. You can use the traveling light for the 'run' option and the solid for the 'brake', but I would be concerned the change wouldn't register with the cell-phone playing cage-driver behind me that I was braking. Update - made it through the winter with no issues, plastic remained pliant although it only got into the teens (F) a few times, not into single digits this year. Plastic is much more scratch resistant that I expected and takes a coat of wax fairly well. A few items of note - the screw ends. On both sides (holding cables for lid) and the back (inside of the latch) there are small screws that stick into the compartment. They can easily mar a helmet face shield or tear a hold in a jacket of other clothing if you are not careful. Cover with duct tape or find some rubber nibs to cover them and you'll do fine. I never attached the rack to the top of my box since I haven't needed the storage, and don't know how much it would hold going down the road anyways. It may help with aesthetics, but I didn't feel like marking and drilling more holes, especially in the top of the lid. One other thing - there are rubber bumpers on the inside of the lid that keep it snug and prevent rattling when going down the road. Be aware they are only pressed in, and mine all fell out at one time or another. Luckily they fell into the box so I didn't lose them, and ended up securing them with more gorilla tape. Update December 2018 - still going strong, nothing has come apart, lock still works although I admit I only lock it when absolutely necessary, but still, I haven't had the problems others have written about. Still very happy with this purchase. The left-most 1/4 of the LEDs are out, something inside the light bar broke, but the rest of the bar still lights up. I think I connected the ground wire to the wrong circuit, every time I brake while the right turn signal is on, the light bar flashes in time with the blinker. Lastly, I posted a new photo, showing the light kits I use when riding at night, so you can see the comparison on the brightness of the light bar on the trunk.

good value for the money
So was very apprehensive to buy this product but every time i went looking for something like this, it kept popping back in my search so I finally took the plunge. It arrived quickly. Much to my surprise. Putting it together does require some technical aptitude so not for the anyone without proper tools and understanding the wiring configurations. There were no real instructions. So you are on your own. My wife finds it very comfortable and so far no rain, so not sure how waterproof it is. But i did buy some channel weather stripping that will help. Don't forget to seal up the predrilled holes that probably doesn't work for anyone. You will need to drill your own. In the end, it looks like it belonged on my bike the whole time. Does not look like an aftermarket product on my bike. Exception being the LEDs that anyone behind me will have to get used to.

Be prepared for some work on this one.
It's inexpensive and it shows. The first trunk I received had broken hinge out of the box. had to return and reorder. On second box, had two seat bolts pull right out, not even tightened down, just aligning bolts in holes and hand tighten. Pre-drilled holes did not line up very well, lots of gentle wrestling. One page instructions, one side with mounting parts list for box and other side shows two pictures for bottom box mount. No instructions for rack mount and you'll have to drill your own holes to mount top rack. Luckily, with minimal mechanical aptitude, you'll figure out how to mount the top rack, but again, you have to place, drill the holes. If you have no luggage rack (like on my 1984 Honda Shadow VT500, get ready for some mods. Luckily a good friend does welding and we were able to make a weld rack that is mounted to the short sissy bar, so got a good sturdy mount now. You only have a choice or streaming lights or brake light..no running light feature (they should make the streaming be able to be running lights). Now waiting on new backrest portion. Had to send photos before they would send a new one out. Bottom line, inexpensive, but can be a lot of work. The "quality" is very questionable It is a very thin and brittle plastic, so only time and use will tell how long it will hold up Low price, but also can be a lot of work and may get bad box/parts as I have. Will add pics once finally done and hoping the new backrest will work properly and the holding bolts hold up without pulling out of their thin plastic mounts.

Excellent trunk. I was worried if the paint job ...
Excellent trunk. I was worried if the paint job would be sub par but it looks nice. It's large, sturdy and my passenger loves the backrest. As long as you can come up with mounting solution to your bike's rack (some basic handy man skills required to mount it), and you don't expect out of the box mounting hardware to work for all and every bike, then you'll love this trunk. I don't really need the chrome rack on top but I mounted it for the look and it really makes the bike look awesome. The LED light strip is nice and bright. No buyers remorse here, I would definitely buy again.

Shoddy. Will extort more money from you for parts in 6 months.
I ordered this in April and one section of light never worked. Slowly over time it lost other sections. Then I noticed rattling and the top latch became loose. After the 2nd month I noticed the top latch was loose from the rivets. Then one day the lock let loose, while closed and locked, and the top latch was inside the trunk with the lid wide open. Luckily I lost no contents and had a strap to hold the lid closed until I could fix it. I ended up putting bolts in the top latch. Then a few weeks ago the internal part of the lock itself broke loose of the rivet. So now it won't lock shut and have to use a strap to hold it closed. When I approached the seller they wanted $25 to pay shipping to get a new bottom lock and the whole light assy. Then came back and said that was the price of the part so I only needed to pay $10 for shipping. All this only 6 MONTHS of having it. Then, they said in an email that they noticed I had this product in the rain and that degredates the use of the light. Emails to prove this. Dont waste your money on a 6 month deal. Spend more and get WAY better quality.

Good bang for the buck
For an inexpensive tour pack, its pretty nice. Is exactly as described, don't expect it to be more than what you are paying for. I have a 2005 Wide Glide which isn't made to have a tour pack, and I didn't want to spend a lot of money to have a "Harley" one. With some modifications to my luggage rack this works. Not sure how stable the back rest will be for a passenger, the tour pack is not thick at all, I may reinforce it some just to be sure. The lighting is awesome, and its easy to add more to it. They tell you, there are no instructions, and they aren't lying. :) If you're not at least a little bit handy this may not be the pack for you. Its very generic but looks nice. I may add some photos to this review when it's completely done. Mounting requires a bit of creativity, it comes with the standard "Made in China" hardware that is always included with these inexpensive products. This tour pack has the potential to be cool, with some creativity and ingenuity, it's worth the price. I am not impressed with the lock, I may add something more to secure it before Spring. If looking for something to play with before investing in a high dollar one, this is the ticket. Good luck and safe roads.
