Chuckanut Backyard Wildlife Blend - 20 lb.

After moving to our new house, I wanted to feed the squirrels. I started by feeding them peanuts but, after doing some research, realized that they needed other nuts & seeds to stay healthy. I compared all the options available and, for the price, Chuckanut seemed the most cost effective to give my little friends the best diet. The 1st day I put out this food they came in droves! Not only do the squirrels LOVE this mixture, the birds enjoy what's left over! Even the wild turkeys that come early in the morning enjoy the leftovers! I purchase at least 20lbs a month, and, as long as they keep the quality and mixture the same, I will be buying this feed and enjoying watching the wildlife it brings in!UPDATE to my review:I have been completely satisfied with this product until the last two deliveries. I have it delivered once a month, buying extra lately because of all the baby squirrels/birds coming to feed. The last 2 bags I purchased were full of fillers! I was sooooo disappointed! There was a ton of waste in each bag; Empty shells, wood chips, and leaves...things that were never in my prior purchases! I will be looking for a new company to purchase my feed from.

I love this, the squirrels loves it and the birds. The only thing is that it is a bit expensive and goes very fast. I just got the bag and have put it out daily for about 5 days, it is almost gone. I wish I could continue to purchase this item, but it just goes to fast and cost more than I can afford. I would recommend this though, fi you can afford to keep it up. It is mostly nuts, not a lot of corn which is great. My jays love it and it does help to keep the squirrels out of the feeders, not completely by any means, but ti does help. Wish I could continue to purchase, Good Luck!! Right now I am certainly the "got to" yard in my neighborhood!

I ordered 2 of these for a total of over 1 C bill. Didn't use it right away, but had it stored in a cool dry basement area for about two months. Started noticing moths. Opened the bags, only to find webs from white worms, that turn into the moths, and gazillions of small black beetles, shown climbing up the inside of the bag in the photo, feasting on the contents. Sorry, no more photos, but had to get this out of the house fast. Complete waste of money, past the return date. This junk was shipped by "MaxWarehouse" and had a lot# WB-051721-03

We have 0 trees, but 2 squirrels who visit all day, every day, since I bought this mix. They love it and they fight the chickadees and grackles to get the most. Definitely messy, but I love having squirrels visit every day! ETA- we have lived here 4.5 years and actively tried to attract squirrels. We had lukewarm success with one squirrel last year with a very corn-based mix. Yesterday I had 5 little visitors at once!

This looked like a great product for my backyard since I have lots of wild animals I like to feed. Unfortunately, when I opened the bag this morning some moth type insects flew out and then a herd of little black bugs (see pictures) started crawling out. Definitely being returned.

Opened the bag and a dozen moths flew out. I did not see any maggots on inside. It was stored in my garage which is sealed from weather. Never had this happen to this brand again. I needed more squirrel food so I went back to the more expensive brand and will not buy this brand again. QUALITY CONTROL IS LACKING!

The critters love this stuff!I have a family (and all their friends, apparently) of Raccoons who visit my back patio every night. They absolutely love this stuff. The cardinals and jays love it as well, during the day time. I also have a few squirrels who partake in the bounty :)I was a bit hesitant, due to the price, to purchase this at first. However, it is a really good quality product and the animals love it. So... it's a 5-star product, in my opinion. I will most definitely be buying more soon.

I've purchased a bag of this several times now. Have been generally pleased...as have the resident squirrels and rabbits and birds.HOWEVER...This latest bag, which I received in mid August, had some sort of fungus that spread in the bag over the past few weeks. I tend to keep the bag rolled closed with a spring clamp on it, and i scoop out a coffee can of it every few days to feed the critters.To make matters worse...this past weekend I opened the bag to find a bunch of little flies incubating in there. So I closed it and discarded the half full bag.It gives me pause on whether to order it again.
