Librett Durables Butchers Twine, Cotton, 370-Feet, Made in America

I bought this baker's twine because I recently purchased a rotisserie oven, and wanted to use it mainly to tie up chickens and roasts. I've used it on a rotisserie chicken, baked at 350 degrees with no problem whatsoever. The twine is thick enough to keep the bird tied without falling apart, and after cooking it removes easily. The price is excellent for the amount you get, and it is very easy to dispense and cut with regular kitchen shears. I would definitely purchase this again.

I like to do rotisserie chicken and this is needed to truss the bird and keep the herbs and citrus in the cavity. I works well and holds up in the heat of the grill, including under an infrared burner.

Good size and strong to tie the chicken to bake

My husband uses this for tying his chicken up before he cooks it on the grill. One person said the string was a little loose which made tying a little more difficult. I can see what they are saying. When he ties up the chicken, he'll have me hold the 1st tie and then make a knot, but the once I move my finger the string starts to loosen.If you aren't cooking on a professional level and you just need cooking string, this will work fine. It's a descent price and you get quite a bit of string that will last you a long time. The little cutting knife on top is sometimes hard to get to work right, but once you have mastered it you are fine.Think about what you will use this for. Do you have your own small business? Well, you might want to find something a little better. Are you just using it for personal cooking? Then this will more than fit the bill.

I really like the smooth feel. I don’t end up with little prickles in my skin like I do with rough twine. Another smart feature is that it unwinds from the inside. It is food and oven safe. Made from 100% all-natural cotton. I am sure that I will have more uses for it in the future (tying roasts, chickens, etc..Made in America

Like others have said, this is a nice string....but what I liked is that all you do is keep the package shrink wrapped, poke a hole in the top and you can pull out (I need scissors to grab the end) the end string and it will pull neatly out of the center. Shrink wrap keeps the whole ball neatly wrapped and clean, in case you bumble and drop it on the floor. Well worth the bit extra $$. and MADE IN USA

Had looked for this locally, price at grocery and hardware store was ridiculously high for amount of twine. This ball has enough twine to last nearly a lifetime for a great price. I use it regularly for trussing chicken and sizing roasts to put on spit roaster. Twine holds up well, does not burn off. I used an empty plastic container from a bird supply store in which a large block of suet came in to house the twine and keep it clean. Punched a hole in the top and thread twine out through hole then cut off what I need. Keeps raw chicken gunk away from the ball.

OK, so I don't need butcher twine very often, but now that I have this it is a perfect solution. I do a lot of BBQ on my Big Green Egg. when making stuffed pork loins, or a rib roast, I was always is search of something to tie them with. I've used some other cotton twines in the past and they worked, but what I could find was not as sturdy as I would like. Seems that Butchers twine is hard to find locally. Saw this an Amazon, price was right, and although this will be a lifetime supply for me, happy I have it. Not much to say as to functionality, after all this is just string, but it is the official stuff and works well.
