Striking Distance

I received theDVD on time in good condition. I watched the movie and feel it was definitely underrated since I considered it one of the best of its best with Bruce Willis and Sarah Jessica Parker with a very good cast.

What can I say except that he’s a super awesome star and I have all his movies. And I love this movie because the man that Frazier Crane dad plays in it and we can’t forget Tom Sizemore another great actor.

I really enjoyed this movie. Had an interesting twist near the end. I'm a huge Bruce Willis fan, so that's why I watched it.

I don’t know how to describe why, ( in a short review that people can read quickly and succinctly), I believe this is a film that was good, but could have been ONE OF THE GREATS… I’m gonna throw out some titles this film contained genre elements of… it had the potential because it crossed genres in a way we rarely see done well.. ex. Take greats like Lethal Weapon and Silence of The Lambs - into one movie… or Beverly Hills Cop with Seven, 48 Hours with The Bone Collector, Kiss the Girls with Speed…. Do you get the picture? And I just name movies the gen pop would recognize… Basically this movie had that raw material, Good/ great actors, awesome baseline story, but fell short and I don’t know facts but an educated guess old be budget someone who didn’t see potential original script had , and direction… That said, the crew actor’s directors producers made the best of what they had in front of them… which is why it’s not regarded as a great movie, despite it being a better STORY that other critically acclaimed films in its era that if you watch now you think( hmm i know this is a blockbuster, but what the f! Honestly die hard 2, any one watch that recently and scratch your head cause you love the franchise and Bruce Willis but can’t help but think dang, this is a disaster , it’s like they took tropes a good base character, explosions, and Bruce crawling around vents popping up every now and then to shoot a bad guy like a wack-a-mole ; pieced together a movie with gum and duct tape - and that’s the final product) sorry tangent, POINT ISFor some reason people didn’t push this movie to be greater when even as it stands is still a better movie that dh2…Ok Recommend- it’s worth a low not wanting to think mood , cop mystery movie ( keeping in mind the era it was made.. no fancy bells like they can do in post like today…) it was really good in my opinion!

Love Bruce he does a good job in this

I bought it because its a very rare film today that most people might have never seen in their lives.I buy an old DVD movie now and then to escape Woke Hollywood so I can enjoy more normal films that were once made over 17-18 years ago.My favorite scenes of Striking Distance are the back and forth between Farina and Willis. Never saw another film where Sarah Jessica Parker was this hot. Ever!It says 1993 but looks like it was filmed in 1991. Cars looked so old! Easily one of my favorite Bruce Willis films!

This is a pretty good action film and includes chase scenes, a beautiful woman and yes, some character development. I would have rated it five stars, but there are two problems. First, a major plot hole: when the cousin jumps off the bridge, there is no mention of a search for the body or funeral. Second, as a native Pittsburgher, I was very disappointed that not one person spoke Pittsburghese, the dialect spoken in western Pennsylvania. You would think the movie producers would have studied this and had the characters speak with a Pittsburgh accent. You know, "Should I park on the norside or dahntahn before going to the Stillers game against the Iggles?" On the other hand, there are many great shots of Pittsburgh.

Good movie plays great thank you

Der Handlungsaufbau ist sehr spannend inszeniert und lässt keine Wünsche offen.Ich habe den Film für mich gekauft.

Grandísima película de acción y suspense de Bruce Willis en la que interpreta el típico papel de policía traumatizado, pero siempre consigue sacarle matices diferentes.La película te mantiene en tensión todo el metraje y la escena inicial de la persecución está muy bien rodada.Muy recomendable, pese a que los críticos se cebaran con ella.

Muy buena peli de acción de Bruce Willis de su época como actor. Ahora no se a que se dedica en el cine con papeles lamentables y secundarios.
