Fireworks Heat Resistant Work Surface

Nowhere in the description does it say it's two pieces of cardboard with a flimsy sleeve to hold it together. Even the picture is taken at such an angle so it appears a single piece. Very deceptive.

I'm not sure about the effectiveness of this product. I have a workbench I covered with aluminum foil for some protection against hot objects being removed from my kiln. I bought this item for better heat protection believing it was a solid sheet of steel. It is in fact a rather thin sheet of steel topping a 14" x 17" cardboard bottom. I guess that's why it's advertised as having a "steel surface" and being "heat resistant" not heat proof. Still, it looks like a solid sheet of steel in the picture and the fact that it is covering a piece of cardboard is not stated in the ad. I guess I'll find out how effective it is as I use it. I always keep a fire extinguisher handy as a standard safety measure.

Cardboard bottom. Really?! Did I miss the fact this thing is not really washable because the bottom will disintegrate?

This was super cheaply made. It doesn't even look like the picture

The image does not match the product I received. The image shows one large, seamless surface but I got a product that is made up of 2 parts that have a sleeve down the middle to hold them together. Useless for me because I do not have flat surface to set things upon. Even more, for the price I basically paid for metal-wrapped cardboard. Not pleased at all.

This product works great for me.
