First and foremost package arrived as was described.Installed the item as was seen on many a YouTube because it came without instructions!Thinking at first that it was the brand new printer I had recently purchased and from the very first printout and post too many to count trials and errors and going through forum after forum and into many blogs concerning why it was pushing one color and omitting another, have finally assessed that it was maybe not the printer in the first place but this CIS unit I purchased from BCH!{First update following the original}We wrote BCH Technologies. NO RESPONSE and have yet to hear from them and we believe they have discontinued this unit!{2nd Update}Several hours later after writing the initial report, in reading through all the mails including the junk mails and trashing them, apparently trashed their responses and later found them since we always check the trash before deletion!We apologize, for any wording that might have appeared to be rude to BCH technologies!They did write back with a solution to return the defective unit: "Sorry to hear that. It sounds like you have a defective unit. Please follow this link and print out a free return label from Amazon:"So, in this attempt to satisfy us we have raised the star system from one star to two stars.Every so often it has to happen, out of a thousand or so to a batch there is in some cases a certain percentage that are bad, we just happened to get one of them, no harm done, it was a bit of a hassle to find out about it and hopefully this will all get resolved amicably.We will keep you posted on the outcome.{3rd Update }Update BCH processed a refund.We are happy with BCH and the resolution!At the same time a bit disappointed with the product and at a cross-roads with whether to try another CIS unit or to simply go back to cartridges. We would rather have a CIS system if we knew that we could get one that would work reliably. {{Note to sellers and manufacturers}}: We would always prefer to purchase a quality product first, cost is not the primary concern in our decision. If someone made a reliable and dependable product, even at a higher cost, using durable, long lasting materials that were designed to be serviceable it would be worth that higher expense.Again Thank You BCH Technologies Customer Services! They came through for us in this scenario!Incidentally we have raised the two star rating to three, for how well their customer services handled this outcome......{4th and FINALE Update }I believe this will be the end of;The Saga:How wrong can a person be, no, no, no, no, wheeeeew, wow that is four no's giggles!The problem WAS NOT BCH's CIS UNIT AT ALL!It has been the printer ALL ALONG, after visiting some new forums and re-visiting others, found out through the inner workings of the computer that the machine had been sending reports back to the printers manufacturer without our expressed permission, and it is suspect that they or their server software were sending a signal of sorts back to the machine disabling its inner workings and in turn after which I CLOSED ALL THOSE REPORTING DIALOGUES down, most of my problems disappeared! Wha-La, Finito, Nada, lolNeedless to say that we contacted BCH Technologies to payback for the product!

When it's good ... It's good, when it's bad .....
I want to like it. When it works it's excellent! Great color reproduction ink seems to hold up well. After I finally got it installed (no help from instructions or the product website) it destroyed several sheets of premium paper by inking blobs all over them I got two great prints. Now to get one good print I have to waste two - five bad prints.

As a CIS for the Epson 1430, I've had no problems with any leaks and installation was easy. The reset took a couple of tries, but got it to work without much difficulty. Colors and photos are pretty good and this is a heck of a bargain for the average user.What I really had hoped for was the UV Dye based black ink to be a real dark/opaque black ink. I print film positives for screen printing and this is not quite opaque enough for what I need.I've tried printing the films twice, but this is a tricky thing as sometimes the films, or any paper you try to print, will shift the second time through the printer, rendering them useless.I tried to find contact information for the company and can't seem to find them. I hope they can reach out to me. If possible, I'd like for them to send an empty CIS and either a bottle of black, or the kit setup with all back dye UV. This would probably be the only way to get it dark enough.

Good value
If you use tones of ink, worth every penny. I have had it a week and it already paid for itself in savings. Install is a bit tricky and could use some adjusting, but over all, well worth the price! To help with understanding the install, Google the model of your printer and CISS and watch install videos, it made the difference for me. Only issue with my model printer is that to make work best, I had to prop cover open; annoying, but workable.

BCH is Now My New Go-To Ink/System Supplier!!!
I have both the Artisan and the 1400, the 1400 being the older model. My Artisan already has a CISS and I hated seeing my older 1400 just sitting there so I ordered this system from BCH....The install was super easy since this is my 3rd CISS and I am very familiar with where everything goes. Now let me tell you...I like the Artisan fine but I never got over my 1400 conking out on me because for some reason I was very happy with the quality of my prints from the 1400. Well, after the install I realized that my print heads were dried out and I was getting the worst prints you'd never wish to see. I worked on it for about 3 hours, running the print head cleaning cycle a few times, letting it rest, blah blah blah. Finally, in desperation I decided (hey, the printer wasn't working right anyway so what's to lose?) to just let a driplet of water onto the print head. Voila!! The very next print came out BEAUTIFULLY! The ink quality is even much better than the ink I'm using in my Artisan. So I will be using BCH for all my CISS and ink needs from now on. Oh, and they give a nice instruction booklet that includes links, phone numbers and addresses if you need help. That's a huge plus even though I didn't need help. They also included a full set of syringes and air needles. I did not get that with my other system. BCH is very highly recommended, in my honest opinion. If anyone is having trouble with their system, try the phone number or links provided in your pamphlet. I'm sure that after putting all their information in the pamphlet that they will be happy to help get your system working as nicely as mine is. I have yet another 1400 that I wil probably be buying a system for too. I do a LOT of printing (I'm in photography) and I will never get over being able to leave the worries behind about ink costs. Too good to be true applied here
Did not work as the printer woudl not recognize the cartridges. Too good to be true applied here, but i was refunded my payment.
