As a member of the notorious "Harvey's Wallbangers," Ben Oglivie was a key cog in the Brewers lineup throughout a better part of the 1980s. Originally drafted in 1968 by the Boston Red Sox, the Panama-native was used primarily as part-time platoon player before being traded to Milwaukee in 1977. The Brewers gave Oglivie an opportunity to play every day, and in just his third season with the team, he became the first foreign-born player to lead the AL in home runs after hitting a career-high 41 long balls. With a set role in place, the heavy-hitting lefty spent the final nine years of his career with Milwaukee, helping the team win two consecutive AL East Division titles and earn a berth to the World Series during that time.
