My ductwork is 1" which is too thick for the 4 fins to grab onto and hold it in place. In addition to this, there is a black ring preventing it from mounting flush. I used a box cutter and cut the black ring off. I then caulked it in place and it is now flush mounted. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect *by B***S on January 24, 2025* These replaced old metal air diffusers. Only thing: Tabs on these hold diffuser against inside of 8” vent pipe, be prepared to secure with self tappers, as they do slide down if not secured.
