99% amazing !!! Craftsmanship is so nice!In picture shown,Notebook to the left: 11x9 in. 27.9 x 22.9cm.Notebook on right: 9.75x7.50in 24.7x19.0cm.The leather covering is soft but firm enough for a solid build. Feels like a old pirate journal seems it would :) Pages feel really nice almost soft and fuzzy. Using a standard Bic pen seems to write really well.Only problem I see is there are some pages (not many) that are missing part of the bottom right corner . Not that big of a deal unless you are FILLING the pages.I really need to say when I opened the Amazon box I was in awe of this journal. I'm not an artist or a writer just wanted a journal for writing things. I am still so impressed with the way this looks and feels. I will be buying more....maybe one for everyone in the family....

There are countless 'antique' 'vintage' 'book of shadows' leather journals out there with leather straps and keys attached to them. I've found this to be not just the cheapest and best value, but also the most beautiful of them all. The leather relatively thin and not all that squishy, so if you're looking for a spongey, thick, dense kind of leather (which I also love), this is not for you. It's thin, crisp, and glossy. It's not dusty or dull like most of the others. It's a rich, vibrant color, oiled and pulled for a true crazy horse look, and the gloss looks luxurious. Oh, and it actually measures up to the size it claims to be. I'm not a fan of these wraparound journals because they're finnicky to handle, but this one I just could not let go. It outshone all the others and made me end up returning them all so I could clutch this one in my grabby hands.

I took a chance in purchasing this rugged-looking diary for the grandson of a friend, on the first birthday after losing his dad to a UTV accident. I was so grateful to hear the 13-yr-old picked up leatherwork and was really pleased with the gift! The grandmother suggested he use it to journal letters to his dad--something my own father did with two of his over 40 inspirational publications; his first tragic loss was at age 9. Very glad I stumbled on this item! The family goes on so many adventures and excursions, I'd imagined it could be useful for collecting and notating, but it turned out to be so much more.

Very good craftsmanship and build quality. I can tell they use quality materials and put dedication and heart in their work. My only complaint was reflected in someone else's review saying the paper can easily be erased away. If erased hard enough or too many times, you can erase the "age" right off the paper, so just don't mess up a ton and write / draw with very LIGHT pressure until you're satisfied with your work, so if you do have to erase, you don't need to rub off the paper. But you won't find a better aged journal for the price, hands down.

I absolutely love this journal! What amazing quality for a great price. You can definitely tell that it's made of real leather by the smell. Not plasticy at all. The paper is very interesting. It's thick and has a different texture than most paper. Almost like parchment. It's a very nice size and thickness. I saw a journal selling for much more and it was very similar if not the same. I'm so happy I found this seller. ❤️

It’s beautiful, and you can tell they wanted you to love their product by the careful way they wrapped it! I ordered one from a different company and they shipped it in an envelope and it was crushed during delivery. I love love love this journal! Order it! You will not regret it! It’s beautifully crafted!

Real review post 04/10/2021This is absolutely stunning. Real Leather, midori style, pages feel like and look real old. Bought this for a Genealogy project. Love it so much buying a second one. Only wish they had it in black as well.
