Titan 0516012 XT290 Airless Paint Sprayer, 5/8 HP Motor

I bought this to use with Sherwin Williams All Surface Latex Enamel Paint. Per Sherwin Williams, it needed to be sprayed with an airless sprayer, 0.17 tip (not included, purchased separately) at 1500 PSI. This fit the bill perfectly for my needs. The sprayer does take a little getting used to (not a lot), but after several coats and sanding between layers, I achieved the glossy, smooth finish I wanted. There was significant overspray even beyond my drop cloth/tarp, but that was expected.

Good little rig for small projects

I have used titan sprayers for over 15 yrs that fact they would come out with a product like this is disappointing. I started my own company and bought this as a starter sprayer instead of renting. Which I still had to rent one because this machine couldn't complete one job. So it probably isn't good for even a home owner to complete their own job by buying this unit. You can rent one for a day and it will most likely be a Graco sprayer that is what I always see being used at rental places. Guess what I'm buying next. But don't buy those cheap ones they makes I'm sure they are the same way. Titan followed the lead Graco making these cheaper ones they sell at big retailer stores. Which you can't find titan units in these stores anymore. I guess that should have been a clue. You can see below and on the box it says for entry level contractors. But when you call titan they will tell you this is not a contractor unit. so far, does a great job and saves me the time of hand painting runs smoothly and cleanup is very easy to do as with any sprayer dealing with the overspray is a deal but that's why they make plastic drop clothes for, and tape.
