Toronto's Cauldron formed in 2006, with the desire to be a three-piece traditional heavy metal band. The band embrace their role in the new wave of traditional metal, were nominated for a Juno award (Canada's version of the Grammys), have played on Metallica's Orion festival, and have toured regularly in both North America and Europe since their formation. Cauldron are looking for an interested label to release their forthcoming album and work with them into the future.

Great album, one of their best !!!
Just bought this Lp and love it. Not sure why people don't get the old school NWOTHM and the many new bands who are keeping such a great style alive and well. A Lot of people just don't get it or didn't grow up with it. This album is great. I happen to like the style Cauldron has, very great rhythms and drumming and they write great lyrics and he almost sings as if he is telling a story at times but it comes across well and fits the music so well and I think they are one of the best new bands out there as a three piece. Man! I wish I could play drums for them because they go through drummers a lot. This is the type of metal that should be played and gives you a sense of fun and direction and makes me happy as a metal-head that they have the guts to release great albums like these when everything in life just sucks sometimes and reminds me of a time of greatness that is coming back with talented guys who do this because they love metal and beer and are road warriors with nothing but their guitars and jackets and nothing else!

Probably their best engineered album so far
Probably their best engineered album so far. The vocals - which have been a bit more muddy on earlier efforts ring much clearer now and it's great to be able to understand Decay's dark sonnets. "Corridor's of Dust" is arguably the best tune here and may punctuate the Skyrim overlap for background music for my next D&D dungeon hunt.

I love it!
It's hard to find newer artist where you can listen to every track without having to skip. I bought it on vinyl because it has that sound for vinyl. Cauldron and another band I like Skull Fist are the reason I started buying music on vinyl again. The only issue I have is I wish it was a double LP so you didn't lose as much sound quality when you get to inner songs. Amazon giving you a digital copy is awesome. The Album it's self doesn't come with a digital copy.

Just ok. Kinda soft.
I bought this immediately after seeing the video from their last album. That video included old school riffs and just the right amount of wailing. This offer seems more subdued, mellow, tame (relatively). The vocals and sound remind me more of Dokken than Priest. Not terrible. But not my bag. Disappointed.

Great great heavy metal
Great great heavy metal, by the best young and hungry band out there! These guys are the real deal. They play with riffs that'll remind you of Randy Rhoads and Ride the Lightning era Metallica etc, but they also have their own unique vibe to them. Very heavy and also highly melodic and catchy, with some cool sing a long choruses as always.Long live Cauldron!

Worth lots of plays at a party and the artwork is great to pass around to your buddies
This is loud, old-school metal you can sing along to and bang your head. The vocalist, in today's generic metal vocal world, stands out as having the courage to sing cleanly. The mix sounds old-school but clear and pounding. Worth lots of plays at a party and the artwork is great to pass around to your buddies.

Pretty weak compared to previous albums
Pretty weak compared to previous albums. Production quality is questionable and Jason Decay sounds like he can't be bothered when singing.
