Like the end result, not the installation
Bought this product after reading a number of reviews and making sure that it was a sturdy and easy to install product. While I am happy with the end result and do feel the drying rack is sturdy and looks good in the laundry room (and saves floor space!), I didn't agree with the reviews around the template helping with the install. The company provides a cardboard cutout that you cut out from the box to then template with for your drill holes with the wall. Given how flimsy the cardboard was to hold up, level, etc. I would have preferred to hold the actual bracket against the wall and have a second person assist with marking the drill holes. Ultimately, the end result worked, just not the ideal means to install.

Sturdy, Space-saving Drying Rack
I researched a lot of drying racks like this one. There are others that appear to be equally as good, but I chose this one because of the reviews AND the size fit the bill of what I was looking for (28”). This size is wide enough to hang a pair of men’s jeans. I ordered two racks so I could install them on top of each other (see pics). I put a piece of 1x4 behind them and used 4 cabinet screws to hang them instead of the wall anchors and screws included. I screwed the cabinet screws directly into studs, which is ideal. The racks are great, sturdy, don’t protrude far, and I love that they hide-away when not needed!

Space-Saving Solution: Step Up Wall-Mounted Laundry Drying Rack for Efficient Drying!
I am thrilled with the Step Up Laundry Drying Rack! The wall-mounted design is incredibly convenient and saves so much space in my laundry room. With a 60 lbs capacity and 20 linear feet of drying space, it easily accommodates large loads of laundry. Installation was straightforward thanks to the included wall template and long screwdriver bit, making the setup process a breeze. The retractable feature allows me to tuck it away when not in use, keeping my space tidy. This drying rack has become an essential part of my laundry routine, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for an efficient and stylish drying solution!

Great space saving rack with a sleek look
This is a great rack for my use with a beautiful, smart design. However, the price is a bit high. Pros: 1) Elegant sleek look 2) collapsible and blends well with the background 3) great space saver 4) holds up a decent amount of laundry Cons: 1) the rack's bars make this very challenging to get to the holes on the back plate and attach the plate to the wall. The only way I saw you could install this is to have the rack open but then there is the issue of the rack's weight. This product is heavy. This may be because I'm way out of shape but I felt the product itself was very heavy and would need to be a two people job.Unless you take the risk of taking it apart like I did. Otherwise, I don't know how one person can hold up the rack and try to attach it to the wall with the placement of the holes behind the bars. Maybe if they installed the rack low. My way around it was to take a pic of how everything was attached then take the metal "doors" and rack out. Next I installed the back metal plate on the wall. Finally I put the rack and metal doors back on. PLEASE NOTE I was taking a risk taking the product apart to put it back together and did not expect that the company would later take it back if it failed. I would've liked if there was some type of wall snap in instead of holes in the back plate. 2) the price is a bit too high for the quality of the rack. If it was $40 I'd be more satisfied. The rack's bars seemed to bend down a bit once you put wet clothes on them. I did weigh the wet laundry to ensure I didn't go above the 60lb maximum. However even with 15lbs of clothes the bars would bend a little. For my use I am fine with this. However, I wouldn't trust 60lbs to be placed on this.

Awesome way to hide a towel rack for pool area!
This is an amazing invention! We hung it on the side of our house near our pool and it easily holds wet beach-size towels. Folds up neatly and can’t even see it on the white wall because it is so thin! It’s there when we need it and folds up flat when we don’t! Must be careful putting towels on, though. You must distribute the weight of the towel evenly before sliding into place on rods. Otherwise the rods can bend. Also, the metal side pieces that allow the unit to be folded in are very lightweight and bend very easily. Easy to fix but if you aren’t careful, I imagine they could break pretty easily. We have older kids and gave them specific instructions on how to hang wet towels. I wouldn’t let younger kids attempt to use it. I was worried that it may rust but the finish seems solid and after a month of 95 degree days and rainy nights, it still looks perfect. This works great for our family. We love, love, love it!! Everyone who sees it thinks it’s the coolest idea!

Great drying rack!
I have the typical drying rack but it was cumbersome and annoying. It took up a lot of space, I crushed my fingers in it so many times, and took too much time to pull out unfold, and put away again. In search of a better option I came across this awesome alternative! The reasons I selected this wall-mount drying rack: Better materials (metal vs plastic/wood) Size utility (there's more spacing between each rod than competitors, this helps clothes dry faster as air can circulate better; rods looks thicker than competitors - if they are too thin, it may deform drying cloths or leave an impression when dry) Sturdy and sleek (this is one of the more sturdy pieces of drying equipment on the market. Others are flimsy or bulky) Overall great design (approved by mechanical engineer!) As you can see in the photos, my laundry room is narrow, but this still gives me walking space when in use. I could not do that with the other kind of drying rack. I have another photo with two mens jeans - this is pretty sturdy (when installed correctly) and can fit a good amount of clothes. And of course, the fold away aspect is awesome! I love it so much, that I am coming back to buy the newly released smaller versions to put in my bedroom and double as a clothes valet. You can't go wrong with this if you have a wall to install this on!

Had it for over a year. Wife wants another.
We have had this rack for a year. This has been used quite a lot. It is made of metal and very sturdy. Still looks brand new. The rods are a bit noisy when putting things on/off. It's metal rods on metal frame. Just the cost of being sturdy. Some may be concerned with the weight. There are eight screws to attach it to your wall. I hit the left set screws into a stud, the rest are just into the drywall. We have no problem loading this rack up with five wet sweaters. We liked it so much, my wife wants another. Good thing I mounted the first up a bit high. Always good to make my wife happy.

Better Options Out There
Bought to improve the laundry room. Thought the compact size and folding design would fit well into the small space I have and it does quite well. It folds easily and is made of durable materials for the most part. The drying rods on the rack are held in by really cheap plastic fittings that have all now broken. This makes it where the rods have a tendency to want to slip out of the assembly while folding and unfolding the rack which can be really annoying at times. I could replace the fittings with a flanged bolt and threaded insert and it would be perfect. Beyond that criticism, the rack doesn't have a ton of drying capacity and, in retrospect now, I think it would have been better to have gone with a retractable laundry line instead.

Probably the best foldable wall mounted drying rack on Amazon AU at the time of purchase
This one uses 10 screws for mounting onto the wall. Its competitors use only 6 mounting screws. This one has 6 rods while all the others I found on Amazon AU have only 5. This one has ribbed rods which feel quite sturdy and not slippery. As for its competitors, I can't tell from looking at their photos. I didn't give it 5 stars because it's extremely expensive, even for an item that's imported from America. Also, the screw spacing doesn't suit wall studs in Australia. Hopefully they make a local version someday.

Best product for hanging laundry quickly and easily ! Very stable and sturdy !
Best thing I’ve ever bought to hang all my laundry in one go, outside in a small place on my deck. We attached it to the brick of the house, in the back, and the wind dies the rest! 🙏❤️🇨🇦
