Dr.Beckmann Service-it Deep Clean Washing Machine Cleaner, 1 Treatment

I've tried a number of cleaning products to remove the musty, mildewy scent from my front loading washing machine, but this is the only one that works. Easy to toss in the drum and leaves my machine smelling fresh.

This is seriously one of the best washer cleaners I’ve used! Even after just one use, I could tell how well it worked. It pulled out so much gunk from my washing machine that I didn’t even know was there. Everything looked cleaner and smelled fresher right away. I’ll definitely keep using this regularly!

Worked well in ridding washing machine from bad odor and partially removed the black mildew from the rubber gasket.

I use it for sanitizing our washing machine every once in a while. It works great and the machine smells clean after.

Works better than other cleaners to break down drum scum. Odor problem has dissipated. Sometimes the powder leaks from the packaging but not significantly.

Seems okay not to perfume smelling

As expected from its reputation, the black color is restored instantly, but it doesn’t last long.

This product didn't do the deep cleaning I expected. But for the most part, it did clean and eliminated the smell I needed it to target!

I’ve been testing it for the past few days in my washing machine, mainly to deal with a slight musty smell that had started building up after regular low temperature washes. The process itself is straightforward. You simply empty the contents into the drum and run a hot cycle. What stood out to me is how it targets the internal parts you do not normally see, such as the drum casing, pipes, and seals where residue tends to collect over time. After one cycle, there was a noticeable improvement in freshness, and the machine no longer had that damp odour when opening the door. The formula seems quite effective, especially with the inclusion of activated carbon. It appears to do a good job of absorbing leftover detergent build-up and grime rather than just masking smells. The light lemon scent left behind is not overpowering, just clean and subtle, which I prefer. In terms of performance, it does feel like a deeper clean compared to standard maintenance washes. This is particularly useful if, like me, you tend to use eco settings or lower temperatures, which can allow bacteria and residue to accumulate over time. It gives the impression that it is helping maintain the machine’s efficiency as well. One small downside is that it is a single-use treatment, so for ongoing maintenance you would need to repurchase regularly. Also, while the results are good, heavily neglected machines may need more than one treatment to fully clear stubborn build-up. Overall, it has met my expectations and I’d recommend it if you’re looking for something in this range.
