Precision Port 2" Flared Speaker Cabinet Port Tube Kit The unique flared-end construction of the Precision Port system enables it to outperform any standard port tube on the market. Conventional tubes suffer from nasty turbulence at the entrance and exit of the port, producing unwanted noise and poor sound quality. The Precision Port system overcomes these problems and as a result can actually produce a gain of up to 3 dB in output! Now you can experience good looks, low distortion, and superior overall sound quality thanks to the Precision Port system. The 2" model now comes with starter holes on the rear of the mounting flange, allowing the user to decide whether to use 3 mounting holes, 4 mounting holes, or none at all! All you need is a standard twist-drill to make your custom mounting decision. The central tube can be cut to any desired length, with a maximum overall port length of 11". Once the pieces are cut, the system can be permanently bonded with ABS pipe cement. Dimensions: 5-1/4" outside flare outer diameter 4-1/4" cutout 4-3/16" inside flare outer diameter. Also available in 3", 4", and 6" diameters. Proudly made in the USA!

Works extremely well!
Got rid of the chuffing(if you don't know what chuffing is, google it for full explanation) in my son's sub box instantly! We used a heavy-walled cardboard tube at first, but it was resonating so badly that anything over half volume would make this box chuff so loud it was horrible.Routed the hole to fit this tube, put a small bead of silicone in the corner of the port where it meets the box, then tapped it into the hole. I made the hole exactly the right size so screws were not needed at all, it was a very snug fit.Sub box doesn't have any chuffing at all now, and bass response is a bit more flat across its bandwidth now.

Work nicely.
Works great. I used a pair of these in a "Ball Park Boombox" I built for my daughter's softball team. They are facing forward on a down firing sub and there were no huffing sounds when I had just the sub playing during sound tests. The bevel port end looks good with the curves of the box and fill the void between speakers nicely.

High quality if it is long enough
Need longer extension. No compatible extensions or 90 degree elbows . 5 stars if 11 inche port is long enough for you.

Very nice, but could be longer
I bought two of these eleven years ago, and used one right away. I just used the second and was thinking it was about time to write a review. The main reason I purchased this was to eliminate port noise on a box that was converted to a vented design. For that purpose the tube performed very very well. The only two drawbacks are: 1) You do need a decent flat surface area to mount the flange and then must avoid the speaker and inner walls, and 2) the port only supports Lv values up to 11" (with a mechanical length of 12"). For my second design, I needed it to be about an inch longer. Fortunately, I still had the 'cutoff' from the first design and was able to extend the port. (This critical dimension isn't even provided in the product description.) For a 'cut-to-length' product, it should be longer than what was provided.Other than the limitation on length, it's otherwise a good option for either custom enclosures or adding a port to an existing box.
