Is it worth the money? Well, quality wise it is, despite some commenting that it is overpriced. When you compare it to keyboard shelves and "desk extenders" this is much more substantial and fit for purpose - if your purpose is flight simulators and the like. It comes disassembled and well packed. Assembly is relatively straightforward if fiddly. There are some small washers for the screws on the top panel (that goes on the desk) that are easily dropped and the screws themselves are difficult to thread in. (Or perhaps I just have fat fingers). The bolts on the adjustable plate for the stick, etc. are much easier to fit. You need a cross-head screwdriver for the small screws and the correct hexagonal Allen key for the bolts on the adjustable plate, neither of which is supplied (contrast VelocityOne!). However, in practice you can tighten the bolts sufficiently with fingers, which makes it easier to later adjust the level, or the position of stick, etc.). The quality of machining is excellent. There is no give in the clamps and rubber pads to protect your desk are supplied (for you to stick on). When installed it is rigid. The pros - The clamp is substantial and designed to fit the TM Airbus stick, throttles, etc. And indeed that is partly why I risked buying it (the cost being as much as a joystick) since I have both a stick and a TCA Quadrant. The cons, which you may wish to consider - For me these outweigh the pros. If I knew beforehand I perhaps might not have indulged although I do not regret it. 1) The Flying Clamp is bigger than you might think. I had intended to use it for joysticks centrally (i.e. between the knees like a Tiger Moth or a fighter). At its lowest setting it hits your legs. At any setting it hits my tummy - but working distance is no different from using a flight yoke clamped to the desk. For me it is not practicable for a centrally positioned joystick, it's easier to use a joystick on the desk even though that means it moves or tilts if the base is not heavy enough. 2) You really need to use it at the side of you - i.e. like the Airbus Sidestick in real life. Similarly for the throttle. If you had one either side of you that is a substantial amount of desk space! 3) I hoped that the slots and holes would allow me at attach non-TM devices. Unfortunately, although numerous, they are not in the right places. You could drill holes to fit but I decided not to (mainly because I cannot comfortably use the clamp centrally as noted above). Removing the Flying Clamp for when you need to use the desk as a desk is easy enough and no more difficult than removing a yoke (if you have one). Have fitted the TCA THRUST MASTER CAPTAINS PACK QUADRANT and JOYSTICK to them. I have two clamps. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very Well Made .... *by D***S on 8 April 2022* ...but, far too expensive in my opinion for what they are. They are bigger than expected but I suppose they need to be to accommodate the controllers they are designed to hold. Easy to assemble, I bought two for my TM TCA Captains pack , one the thread holes didn't seem to line up very well compared to the other. Anyway, easy to put together, I didn't even read the instructions, just looked at the picture on the box. Got them clamped to my pc desk, sturdy and easy to attach, just tighten the knobs up and you are good to go. Comes with all the screws you need but you will need a crosshead screwdriver and allen keys to do the bolts and screws up. I've deducted a star as I think these clamps are too expensive, around the thirty quid mark would be more like it but overall a good way of placing your controls where they need to be.
