The reviews on this book are unbelievable. Beings from another planet who have never been in contact with humans and perhaps, perhaps those who have an emotional IQ of a zombie will probably learn something. Everyone else will find it a waste of time, except the review gamers. You probably know Amazon has a number of lawsuits underway against people selling five star reviews. For a few bucks, they will slam the customer reviews with phony glowing five star reviews. The reviews on this book are so out of touch with reality that I seriously wonder if this is going on here. Even the "verified purchaser" system can be gamed. Wording similarities between some of the five star reviews lend credence to this hypothesis.The book is small in content, both in volume and substance. It is large type, double spaced, with extra space between paragraphs and has an unusual number of blank pages. If the type were normal size, spacing normal, and blank pages removed this book would run about thirty five pages. Most of the author's, what ever his credentials are as he doesn't say, observations are taken from other works, which he at least gives credit to in some but not all cases. Even those are spun in a vapid and trite direction. For example, if a person stands with crossed arms, a frown on their face, and is stamping their foot they are either angry or inpatient or perhaps something else. Got it! Did you really need this guy to tell you that? That's the tone and depth of the entire book. At least it's easy to read with the large type, double space, and all, and the reader need not fear it going over their head as the construction and wording are at best middle school level.Don't waste your time on this one. I believe someone is having a joke at our expense. It's a one star effort, nevertheless, I give it two star as being useful for emotional zombies and for the nice cover artwork.

The author has shared great into how to go about analyzing people. I mean the author shared good insights into body language and its meaning. As practitioner of individual psychotherapy I found the insights on people's background influence in the present behavior quite helpful. However, as scholar of human behavior, I found that the book lack depth on the issues related the unconscious content underlying human behavior, meaning making and personality issues.Otherwise the book is written in reader friendly way. It is easy to read and follow.Well done!!!

This book helps cultivate our thinking to understand the others. It gives light to the underlying realities behind one person’s behavior. Analyzing and understanding the other person (especially someone who are dear to us) will not only build a good healthy relationship, but it will also help us better understand ourselves. Also, the author uses different scenarios on how people usually interact with one another on different ego states, and this way the text is being simplified and we can easily learn from them. The result that we really wanted to have is a choice that is ours to take.

Very good and detailed book. It covers how to analyze all types of people, from small children to adults. It goes into detail of body language, gestures, face expressions and what they mean. After that it talks about persons habits, taste, appearance and what conclusions you can draw from that. Values, beliefs, I mean, it covers everything a person does that you can analyze what that means. I really liked all the examples and excersizes and the end of each chapter that really helps to understand more.

Psychology books pop my interest in reading. When a friend asked me to read this book, its title caught my attention. The book gives tips, instructions, and ideas on how to analyze and understand people through body language, people's tastes, habits, appearances, the six human needs, beliefs and values. I like the "Exercise & Practical Application" section after every end of the topic which provides you with exercises, actions, or things to think about so you can apply what you've learned and progress towards your goal of successfully analyzing and understanding people.However, though the book has good intentions for its readers, I still find it lacking in depth and some supporting facts from published researches to date and true-to-life experiences to make its claim more reliable and convincing.

Interpersonal communication really come in handy especially if you are working in a crowded environment. That goes with the saying, action speaks louder than words. I find the book very helpful for me since I am working in an industry where I always communicate with other personnel in the office and got curious on what does their actions means. I am a fan of psychology and a fan of reading people via their gestures and the way their eyes move. And I can say this book really fed my wants.

Too short, I was disappointed by that alone , so it hurt my overall scoring. Did have some excellent points though.

If you want to learn how to analyze people this is the go to guide. It has stories and tells the reader exactly how to analyze and read people for better communication. I am addicted to Investigations and this helped me to better understand people and why they do what they do. It's a fast read too.

Loved this book !!I have read a number of books about how to understand & read people. This books discusses number of different techniques to read & understand people. There are a number of books out there that discuss individual techniques in detail –-Body Language,-6 basic needs of humans,-the drama triangle and the winner’s triangle etc…This book discusses the main points of the most popular techniques. It is a collection of the most effective techniques in one book and is very good for reference.

I have been interested for a while in what people are really saying behind their words and this book has given me some very valuable insights into human behaviour. Not only did it give me an interesting perspective on the behaviour of others but I also found it showed me some things that I do myself haha. Very good read. 5 stars.

It has some good points there, however, the reading experience is lost with the bad layout of the pages.

Where to start - there are so few words per line and each line is spaced as far from the next to make more empty space on a space than text. This highlights something else and that is the awful quality of paper this book is printed on. The information is so superficial and pointless it takes little more than skim reading to digest and then forget. I would send this back to Amazon but honestly I need to analyse something - how much better will I fell when I throw this book into the recycling bin, where in my humble opinion is deserves to be. May it help something by recycling. Am I being harsh? No. I do not recommend buying this book, a poor imitation of the great 'Chimp paradox' but instead look at another or go to a library where such mistakes can be less costly.
