French Coffee Press & Tea Maker Infuser, 6 Coffee Cups, unique Filter Screen, Chrome glass pot

Ordered two of these French Presses recently and received them promptly with Amazon Prime shipping. One of them is perfect. The other one, however, had a perfectly cut 3/4inch circle on the bottom of the glass jar, which would obviously let all the coffee run out of the jar. I would not be so disappointed if it weren`t for the fact that there were traces of glue on the little glass circle, indicating that someone tried to cover up a huge flaw.

I brought this French press for my daughter and had it sent to her through Amazon. It is beautiful and classic in design and my daughter was thrilled when she saw it. We used it for the first time together, and for the first three uses it made very good coffee - but - after the third day of use the carafe cracked while I was GENTLY hand washing it! We would like to have it replaced but my daughter can't find the box!

Although this French press had great promise, the glass carafe broke within 3 months of ordering/use. Luckily, it just cracked at first while I was depressing the plunger, and then a perfect circle broke from the bottom when I moved it over the sink, looking for the source of the leak. No one was hurt, but I'm disappointed in the quality of the carafe. Otherwise, it made a decent cup of coffee with little-to-no grounds.

My husband and I drink coffee every morning and often in the evenings. We enjoy a nice fresh brewed cup of coffee but don't want to pay those expensive prices at coffee shops. With our new French Coffee Press Cafetiere, we can get the same quality coffee right at home!This is an 8 cup coffee press with the same classic design from back in the 50's. The body is made of a durable heat resistant glass with a chrome plated steel frame around the outside. The plunger has a mesh double screen to insure that no coffee grinds get poured into your cup.How to use: (how I personally use it for making fresh coffee)-Using a kettle or other heating device, boil your water for the coffee. (Do not boil water in the coffee press!)-Add your desired amount of coffee grinds into the coffee press.-Pour the boiled/heated water into the coffee press directly over the coffee grinds.-Using a spoon (I suggest using a wooden or plastic cooking spoon. If you use a metal spoon, do not hit the glass too hard) stir the water and coffee grinds for a few seconds.-Place the lid with the plunger on the coffee press, but do not push the plunger down yet.-Let this sit and brew for 3-5 minutes. Note that you can make your coffee stronger or weaker depending on amount of time you let it steep.-After you let it steep, push the plunger all of the way down slowly. You will be able to see the screens catching all of the coffee grinds and pushing them towards the bottom.-Now you have freshly brewed coffee, just pour into a mug and enjoy!This is a good quality French Coffee Press. I am very pleased with the design and functionality. This is completely dish washer safe and works just as I expected. I was excited to find this at a discount in exchange for my honest review. I highly recommend this coffee press for anyone who loves coffee.
