Smriti Vintage Real Leather Canvas Messenger Bag 14-Inch Laptop Briefcase - Coffee

I was looking for a medium sized bag and this is perfect. It easily holds my Dell Latitude E5440 which is 13 3/4 x 9/3/8. Additionally, there is also plenty of room for my water bottle, charger, and paperwork. I travel quite a bit in my district, so the bag is my mobile office. I was concerned because the strap is not padded, but it is very wide and comfortable. It is most comfortable when worn cross body. My one complaint is that is when full to capacity, the snaps do not stay closed. However, at this point I have too much gear in the bag. The fabric and leather are good quality. I love the character of the leather. I used it at a conference recently, where I had to walk a mile to and from my hotel. It was very comfortable, practical, and stylish compared to the other bags I saw in use.

This had scuffs all over the leather when it arrived and I had to send back due to the damage.

This morning the bag arrived, and my take is:This is an excellent made bag. It feels awesome and looks really professional. (I bought the Coffee color). Everything I mentioned fit in very nicely and the bulge is unnoticeable. However, once you put these things in, there is absolutely no room for anything else, even with the little pockets it offers. Anything more will change the look of the bag tremendously.If you are looking for a bag for your Macbook Pro (un-sleeved), your iPad, their chargers and perhaps a couple of pens, this is absolutely what you are looking for.As a bonus, if you are traveling with a wheeled carry on, the hand fits over your carry on very easily so you don't have to actually "carry" it if you are jumping from one gate to another at airports.

This is a great looking bag and a perfect size. My problem is that after a few days of wearing it, I noticed that it was bleeding a brown color onto my clothes. Ruined shirts, khaki pants, a jacket. Now I can't wear it anymore.Update: they contacted me immediately after I posted my last review and offered to refund or exchange the bag. They followed through the next day. Great customer service, and good looking bag, it was just unfortunate that the bag bled in the southern heat. Not sure I can recommend this bag specifically, but no problems with the vendor!

Too small

The bag looks great, has plenty of space and pockets, and feels very sturdy - much sturdier than other canvas bags I have had. I particularly like that the strap is removable so it can be carried around like a briefcase. It can easily fit my 13" Macbook Pro, Kindle Paperwhite, chargers, a large book, and other accessories.

I did much research before purchasing this messenger bag. I was looking for a bag that I could put my Macbook Air 13' plus my iPad, folders and an additional book. But I like things "right sized" and didn't want it bigger than necessary. This is the perfect size bag! It has the right amount of space with plenty of pockets to keep things organized. It looks nice and is made well. The only reason I took one star off was because I really didn't believe all the people who said the snaps are irritating. But they are! They are harder than I think necessary to snap as I'm packing up to get out of the office at the end of the day because they don't line up easily. I hope they find something better. Other than that, this bag is wonderful!

I like the design and quality of the bag. I think the description indicated this bag can hold a 14" laptop - perhaps, but it would be REALLY tight and not much room for anything else. I have a 13.3" laptop that is less than 1" thick, and that can be a struggle if I also need to carry a couple of files. All in all, a cool bag.
