Review: Fast and reliable Wi-Fi 7 with excellent coverage. Easy to setup. - Very easy to setup and works perfectly. I have stable and fast WiFi throughout my house. I purchased this set to replace my earlier Orbi which I had for several years. I am getting the full advertised throughput of my 2.5gig fibre internet connection (using PPPoE) via Ethernet to my PC and 1.5gig+ throughput via Wi-Fi from the router and satellites. Don't let the lack of a dedicated wireless backhaul worry you, it's not really needed with WiFi 7 and MLO which combines the 2.4, 5 and 6 GHz bands intelligently. Don't let any negative reviews put you off. This really is an excellent system.
Review: Great product and easy setup - Title: Great start Description: I purchased the Netgear Orbi 770 2-pack to replace a 2 year old Linksys mesh system that just wasn't working correctly anymore. To be honest, I actually tried the desertcart Eero product first as the review I'd read said is was easier to set up with a better app. However, the Eero would not work with my Nokia ONT box for some reason so went back and I replaced it with the Orbi. The Orbi units are a funny shape. They look round from the front but are teardrop shaped tapering off at the back. This meant they only just fit on the shelves where I need them but that's a minor thing. The setup was incredibly easy and everything worked first time. The app is very good and on a par with the Eero one, so the reviews I'd read must have been before this app was released. I also like the fact that there is an advanced setup option if you access the router through a web browser. Overall, the Orbi system has made a good start in the house and the speed increase and stability improvements over my old Linksys system are very noticeable.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: The rbk 352 & rbk 50 are the same price. which is better if i get dead spots in my house with slow internet speeds?**
A: The most important difference between the two ORBI systems is the WIFI standard: AC on the RBK50 (Tri-Band-WLAN) und AX on the RBK350 (6 Dual-band). The internet speed depends on the contract with the ISP, the house environment and the client's hardware so it's impossible to answer precisely what the actual speeds will be. I recommend you the system with Tri-Band-WLAN RBK50.

**Q: Will it work with the g-network fibre broadband router in london?**
A: Yes, the RBK353 should work nicely with G.Network. It is compatible with any Internet Service Provider up to 1 Gbps including cable, satellite, fibre, DSL and more.

**Q: I think 1 router and 1 satellite should be good enough for my use. However, if it is not, is it possible to buy one more standalone satellite?**
A: I don't know the answer but I would recommend you don't skimp. I live in a smallish 3 bed apartment but it is long so put the router in the middle and a satellite at each end to brilliant effect! If perhaps you have a small square house where you could have the router downstairs and the satellite upstairs (with no concrete in between) then you should be OK. Buy it and enjoy it!

**Q: Can I connect this directly to my Openreach fibre socket or will I need a separate modem?**
A: Hi, I have fibre to the home and connected my Orbi directly to the little white incoming fibre box, getting rid of my ISP's router. To do this you may need some settings. These can either be found on the Web or gotten from your ISP. Otherwise you can also use your ISP router (modem) and let the Orbi handle the WIFI.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Blazing fast WiFi after a stressful set-up
*by A***N on 2 September 2021*

I bought this Orbi WiFi 6 system to upgrade my Google WiFi mesh network because I noticed that WiFi speeds were only half as fast upstairs, where my partner works. The price of £700 for the top of the range 852s felt far too expensive but the sale price for the 752s of £325 on Amazon was much more reasonable and realistic. The router and satellite arrived well packaged and the instructions seemed simple enough: download the Orbi app and follow the instructions. However I found in practice there were three set-up challenges: First It was a pain getting Orbi to work with my Virgin Media Hub 3 in model only mode. I checked the Virgin router with an ethernet cable to my laptop to ensure there was internet access through port 1 and there was. I checked that Orbi was set to DHCP and it was. But half way though the set-up process the Orbi said it no longer had internet access. Fortunately I read online about rebooting the Virgin Hub and then reconnecting the Orbi when restarted and this seemed to work. Firmware updates were then unnecessarily slow and it stalled three times with the result that I had to restart the process. Secondly and bizarrely I had major difficulties setting a strong password for my Orbi account. I tried multiple combinations of letter, numbers, symbols etc per the Orbi instructions but they wouldn't work and there was no error message that explained why. Still I eventually found a slightly shorter combination which it accepted. It then prompted me to plug in the satellite device but had problems initially locating it through the app - even though I was stood only a few feet away from it. Anyhow it eventually detected the satellite and following the reboot of the VM Hub followed by a reboot of the Orbi router it started working perfectly. I replicated my old network name (SSID) and password to allow existing devices connect seamlessly. After it settled in I've noticed range is considerably better - by at least 20-30 feet - and speed is 50% faster upstairs with almost the same broadband speed as downstairs. Connection speed is regularly at 370 Mbps download - the maximum for my current broadband. So blistering fast strong connection, which is ultimately what I wanted them for. My only other comment is that they are rather large and blob/fin-like relative to the much sleeker and less obstrusive Google WiFi points. Much harder to hide or blend into a room. But clearly that's the price for a more powerful piece of kit. So great result in the end... but I hope I don't have to reinstall these for a long time!
