With so many craft stores closing, probably thanks to Azn this is hard to find but no home should be without it! THE BEST for sticker and adhesive residue removal! No negative side effects to surfaces!

Is this stuff made from the tears of Elves ? Or maybe the dew drops off a Wizard's hat? All I know, is it's GOT to be made with some kind of magic or wizardry... that's the only way I can explain it. I used to work as a library technician and this is the ONLY product we would use to get stickers or anything sticky off books. I personally use it to remove labels and stickers off of DVD and Blu-Ray cases. And after all these years, I am still mystified how it could possibly work so good! If there's a sticker on the page of a book, you put a few drops of the liquid at the edge of the sticker to loosen it up. Then keep applying drops as you use the applicator to remove the sticker; applying the liquid throughout the process. The page will look like it's got a bunch of liquid on it. Wait... doesn't liquid ruin a book? Yes. But not this. You could pour a half bottle of this stuff on a page of a book. Wipe it down, blow on it... and like magic, it's gone. I can't explain it! There is zero residue. Zero markings. Zero damage. I can't think of another liquid in the world that doesn't leave a mark or some kind of damage on paper. Craziest thing of all? By some mystical properties, the sticker you just removed STAYS STICKY!! Yes. You can reapply the sticker to anything you want. Other products are just an adhesive remover. Sticker is worthless after you use them (not to mention your paper will have a gigantic grease spot where the liquid poured out). Not this stuff. It is crazy. The price point is high, but it's worth every penny (those Elven tears are expensive)! As someone who has used this for years, I have never found a better product to remove sticky things that doesn't leave a residue. 10/10 Gold star all the way!

I have been using this product for years removing gems for altering irish dance dresses. It gets off all the old glue residue without harming the fabric. I usually use a small, fairly stiff, artist brush dipped in the remover and find a gem area that seems less attached and dab there first and usually you can pry off the gem. Sometimes(most of the time) it leaves the glue on the dress or embroidery, I can keep working the same spot with the brush and usually the glue spot will lift off in one piece. I keep some bowls handy to soak the old gems that still have glue left on them. You can not scrape the glue off with any metal object or it will take the mirror back finish off the gem. Unfortunately your fingernail works best but I try not to keep my fingers in the solution too much. My daughter has a dance school and when we do any sewing alterations we usually have to remove the gem and the glue residue to sew. This product is a lifesaver. It does evaporate quickly and will take the finish off a table so you have to be a little cautious when you are using it. I have never had it harm any fabric so far. It takes a little patience and practice but having a clean surface to reglue on is key to reattaching the gems. Worse case you have to order new gems and keep the old ones as back up.

California might want to rethink its priorities, because this stuff is fantastic. I’ve been using un-du since the early 2000s, and it’s still one of those “nothing else quite works as well” products. It’s perfect for removing stickers and adhesive without damaging the surface—great for crafting, journaling, and all the little sticky disasters that come with it. My husband also uses it when restoring and cleaning up his book and comic collection, and it works beautifully there too. Reliable, effective, and one of those things you don’t realize you need until you have it—then you won’t want to be without it.

This product is nothing short of a miracle! No exaggeration. I often buy used records but only those in near mint condition. For some reason these used record stores like to apply ugly gummy price stickers right on the record labels. Whether a price sticker or those annoying multi-colored round office stickers, they are difficult or darn near impossible to remove without damaging or tearing the label. Un-du works like magic at removing stickers from sensitive record label paper. The clear liquid rapidly saturates the sticker and lifts it from the label. I then carefully pull it off and there is no residue, label bubbling or damage to the record label whatsoever. The applicator/scraper thing is a little weird but I guess it's designed to start lifting the sticker off as soon as the liquid comes out as the Un-do evaporates very quickly. I prefer to tilt the bottle, let some liquid come out and gather some up with a plastic pick and then apply it the sticker myself. I feel like I have more control doing it that way. The product is color-less, odor-less and even works on 40-50 year old stickers.

Allow me to start by saying that this product does its job exactly as described on the packaging. I am a quite particular person and truly hate old price tags all over my nice collection of books (or really anything I'll be displaying for that matter). Sometimes I find myself rubbing away left-over residue with a towel more than I'm actually peeling off the stickers, but it really does cleanly and safely allow you to remove stickers, even some years-old "used" stickers I had on old college textbooks. It evaporates so quickly that even if it does get a bit messy and wind up on a page or two of the book it doesn't leave a stain, which I think is very relevant for a product that exists only to make things look nice. This product would earn a five star review if it weren't for two seemingly minor issues. One of which is the amount of this stuff you need to just do one job. Upon receiving it I sat down and spent an hour removing stickers from all of my dirtied books and found myself with less than a quarter of a bottle left. So for $7.00, this item might be a bit overpriced. Additionally, and here's the main gripe and the primary reason I'm writing this review. The bottle falls down all the time, the design is incredibly topheavy!!! Obviously, a complete product overhaul would be incredibly costly, but how am I supposed to switch back and forth between placing this beside me and actively scraping with it? If I put it on its side it leaks out more and more of the liquid, but if I stand it up and so much as breathe it wants to fall back down thus spilling out some liquid in the process. It just seems like they're inches away from a miracle product here, if the scraper weighed just a few milligrams less, or if the base were just a centimeter wider, this product would be a life saver. But as is, it's almost as much hassle as using rubbing alcohol and some household tools.

This is by far the BEST adhesive remover I have ever used! I would suggest this to everyone.

It does what it advertises it does. I would suggest using deposable gloves when using it. It works fairly fast, but it may leave an adhesive residue after removal. A little more of the solution and a paper towel will clean that up.
