Fit 1913 picatinny and Weaver Rail. OEM Replacement of Harris with the same function but better price for customers. Please don't think this is genuine Harris brand

Lesser of two wins
My bad experience with the Rota-Pod adapter, nearly stopped me from using a bipod, but this little gem changed my mind. It doesn't have the (nice) traverse capability the Rota-Pod had, but is thinner, slipped right onto the picatinny rail, installed easily, and through over 100 rounds from my Core 15 AR-15 M4 Carbine, never showed any looseness. It does allow the weapon to tilt to the side slightly, which helps with loading/removing the magazine (Magpul 30-rd), and allowing the range officer to safety inspect at "cease fire". It is tight enough the tilt doesn't seem to have any effect on aim or movement when firing. The bipod was solid, and I found no movement in this adapter. The hex wrench was just barely too long to store in the Magpul stock compartment, but I don't expect to use it on any regular basis, and the knob is hand-tightenable to make the wrench unnecessary. For the far lower price, this one worked when the Rota-Pod wouldn't fit the picatinny rail (Rota-Pod is not width adjustable like this one is). So I can recommend it if traverse isn't critical, and I was easily able to traverse despite the bipod legs anyway.

Great Product for the price.
Great little adaptor for the price the only reason I didn't give it a 5/5 is because for the bipod I used it on (black hawk pivot bipod 6-9 inch) you need to tighten the tightening nob pretty tight, which starts to bend the rod the tightening nob is attached to, in order for the bipod to be securely attached to the adaptor without movement.HOWEVER this may be an issue with my blackhawk bipod being so cheap, it may lack quality materials that a harris wouldn't. All in all my bipod fits snug on the adaptor which is tightly secured on the bottom picatinny rail of my LWRC M6A2 SPR. Paid a quarter of the price for my bipod and adaptor, as opposed to a harris bipod, and it works identical, aside from the bent tightening rod which does not in anyway effect the bipods performance. Also MY adaptor came with the picatinny tightening piece that the allen screw is holding onto, upside down. You may have to take the allen screw off and flip the little metal piece so its on the correct way so it'll fit on the rail properly.

Too Good for the Price
I read some negative reviews, and almost didn't buy this. There were several other such items for 7-10 times more cost, and I almost spent the money on them. I am glad I didn't. I mounted this to the bottom rail on a quad rail gas block, on a 26" full bull barrel .308 Winchester caliber LR-308. It is about an eighth of an inch longer than the rail, and that length is to the rear of the gas block. I mounted a heavy duty Harris bi-pod, and there is no movement or play from the mount or the bi-pod. Once everything is tightened down, this thing locks into place, and looking at the parts all together, it appears to have been made just for that. There is still room behind the mount so it doesn't touch or strike the end of the handguard even during recoil. This component is a great value, and it fit right in on this particular setup.

You get what you pay for....ok for the range.
First off, the thing is only $8. Expect to pay $50-$80 for a quality US made picatinny bipod mount. That said, for the money, this thing is OK. I was able to attach a Harris S-BRM monopod securely to the mount. But the surface area of the mount is not wide enough to cover much of the padding of the Harris, so it could shift angularly if bumped hard enough . It is just fine for throwing a bipod on a quad-rail to sight in a rifle, which is exactly what I bought it for. For long term field use, look on spending money on a LaRue, etc.

At under $5, it is what it is.
As the saying goes, "You get what you pay for". With that in mind, at $5 this adapter does an adequate job for what I use it for ( temp use when I'm bench shooting an Ar-15, otherwise I keep a VFG on the rail 90% of the time ) If your intend to permanently mount a bipod, I would most definitely spend the extra money and get a quality picitinny mount. As noted in other reviews, this is a Chinese knock-off and is not to be confused with a true, much higher quality, Harris Engineering adapter. It works, no real issue mounting a Harris Bipod to the adapter or mounting the adapter to a rail. A cheap allen wrench is included with the adapter, no other instructions are included. interesting enough, the adapter is supposed to be guaranteed to fit, although no contact information was included in the plain, padded envelope that held the adapter.Fit and finish is on par with an average high school machine shop project, tooling marks are visiible through the black painted surface. Material appears to be carbon steel. Not a true Mil-Spec 1913 Picitinny cut on the mounting rail, the smaller section just clamps on somewhat akwardly on the handrail, but has remained tight for an average shooting session of 200 rds of 5.6 x 45 ammo when the allen head screw is firmly snugged down.I can recommend this product if you're an air softer or looking for a limited, light duty bipod adapter.

Solid adapter for Harris bipods
I bought this adapter to attach a Harris Engineering 1A2-LM Solid Base 9 - 13-Inch BiPod to my AR-15. This adapter allowed me to connect the bipod very securely and with absolutely no issues. There are not a lot of things to say, other than that the adapter works and connects securely. I have found that the combination of this adapter and the Harris bipod have been extremely stable and far better than less expensive bipods I have tried. One thing to note is that you should connect your bipod to the adapter before attaching the adapter to your picatinny rail, as the bipod will be much easier to connect when you can hold the connector pole/rod/notch (whatever you would call it) in place with your finger as you click the bipod onto it.

Cheap but effective - revised
Yes, I know this not a true Harris bipod adapter. It is just a cheap chinese rail adapter, but it ended up working ok for the bipod so I give it 4 stars. But the stud is too short for a sling swivel to rotate back and forth. ***Mount your bipod to the adapter first, then install the adapter. It is quite fiddly if you don't do it in that order. It seemed to fit the picittiny rail just fine on the front on my gun stock.
