Tour Lock Pro 50 Gram Weight Obviously, there have been lots of advances in club technology in the past 25 years. One of the most recent is strategic weight placement, and studies show that when the proper weight is utilized in the grip, overall performance improves. Back-weighting a club has been around for a while now, and the grip itself is, in essence, a backweight, but it's never been easier than using the Tour Lock system. Tour Lock Pro technology has made back-weighting easier and more efficient by allowing players to easily adjust the feel and performance of any club by adding the optimal weight to each club in their bags. Choose your weight, install and hit the course!

Great if you have the adapter tool to install it. If you don't... It costs to get it installed.
Works great but you need to have a special tool to make the hole in your grip!

Really can help with your game
Ignore the 1 star rating. These are awesome. How they work:First off, there are a couple of different types of these weights. ---------------Tour Lock Counter Plugs - These are placed inside the club prior to the grip being put on. The issue with this is that you can not change the weight unless you first take off the grip, which DESTROYS the grip. Do not get these!!Tour Lock Pro - With these, you open up the end of the grip, and then insert the weight down inside the grip. Turning the screw on the end of the weight causes the rubber end of the weight to expand inside the shaft of the club thus gripping the inside of the shaft. I have uses these for over 5 years, and recently bought a 2nd set. I have never had one come loose or shift around inside the shaft.Installation -- You must open up the end of the grip to install Tour Lock Pro. I recommend you do not buy their installation tool. Instead, use a 3/4 inch flat end wood boring bit to open up the end of the grip. Press slowly while drilling and drill down until you can see all parts of the top of the shaft. If you keep the pressure light, you will not damage the end of the shaft (not sure if that would be possible, or even matter), and the hole will work a bit better.Buying your first ones. --------------------I strongly suggest you only get a few to start with. Get a range of weights 12, 16, 20, and 25. You can probably just start with a single 20 gm weight.Anything higher will be tough to use unless you are a really strong player. PS: The really heavy ones are for putters.Install one weight in your 7 iron. Go to driving range (HIT OFF GRASS). Alternate shots with your 7 iron (with weight) and 6 iron (without a weight). You are trying to get a feel as to whether the weight is helping, hurting or neutral. It is important to alternate for a while. PS: you might have to be a bit more deliberate in the back swing (slower). Once the club is out of position at the top of the back swing, the weight will make it very difficult to swing accurately. On the opposite hand, if the top of the back swing is near to the correct spot, the club will have little trouble staying on swing plane, and will result in straighter shots. Also, if you try to jerk the club down from the top of the backswing, you will be unlikely to make good contact. A smooth downswing is a bit more important with the weights. Obviously all of this is somewhat dependent on having a decent swing to start with. After that, try 5 shots in a row with weights, then 5 in a row without. Focus on the last 3 shots of each grouping. Which group was better (ball flight - high or low; straight or turning; distance is not important though I am tending to get a couple (2-4 extra yards on good swings).Again, you are just trying to get a feel as to whether these weights can help you or not, and which weight would be best for you.Enjoy golf!

Don’t waste your money.
The weight itself is too heavy with no way to adjust it. The diameter is too big to insert at the end of a club as its length would require it to go through the top of the grip and into the shaft. Not certain if possible but there is no way I would chance ruining a club for this item
