made our leather chairs better than new
Excellent stuff. Restored a leather chair to its deep tobacco color that had turned to lame beige from years by a sunny window (and three kids' worth of baby-spitups). Same effect on a burgundy leather chair whose true color we'd forgotten after all the sun fading. Next up was a nice leather folio I use for work, only thing it didn't clear out was some water spots. Last up was a leather computer case from Schlesinger, I only wished I'd gotten to it sooner. Restored all the parts that weren't cracked.Comments on application - on lighter leather it looked like I was doing something wrong, like I spilled water on the leather. Once it soaked in and sat long enough that effect goes away. Test of course because I could see this darkening things a little on very light colored leather. What I found interesting was that the sun-faded chairs ended up looking better after reconditioning with Lord. They'd picked up some aging, "character", that wasn't there when new, subtle crack lines and nicks. Once conditioned they didn't seem to pose any risk of deepening. The brown chair especially, it was sold with a mild faux-distressed look that had faded away. Now it has a real distressed look but it's super-soft to sit in. This stuff both pops the color and softens the hand of the leather. Will definitely buy again and continue to use on all our leather furniture and accessories.

Seems to work very well in my BMW
Good stuff. I'm only giving it four stars for now because I have not had it very long. Because some idiot who got their comment deleted didn't understand that, let me explain for the low IQ crowd: meaning, I don't know how well it works long-term yet, because I have only used it once and do not know how it will do for the seats OVER TIME.Definitely leaves an oily sheen on the car leather. Will update review after a few uses and more information becomes apparent.

Wonderful producct!
I am so pleased with this wonderful product! I have an expensive leather oversized sofa and chair set on which I have used this product. It is dyed deep green, and is approximately18 years old. When I first applied the product to a section on the back, I had a question about the way the leather was taking it up. I sent an email and got an immediate call from Brooke. She was so helpful, in suggesting very practical, and simple, ways to prepare the leather. This one to one interaction is a very real, and most appreciated, advantage in dealing with a small family owned company such as this. I followed her advise, and the leather on these pieces is totally renewed! It is truly amazing, they look like new! I am using two coats letting each coat dry 24 hours in between. I am now a loyal advocate for the company and product, and don't have to look any further for a wonderful leather conditioner.

Disappointing. Really not good.
I expected to like this product. It was expensive, so I expected it to be effective. I rubbed it on a glazed leather bag. It darkened the leather temporarily, which I expected, but there was no other effect.I have used similar leather restorers in the past- you apply them evenly, wait for them to dry, and then buff. They look matte when they dry but buff to a shine. They cover scratches and spots that are worn. This one even said you should wait several hours for it to dry, but it dried very quickly, and scratches were still visible. If anything, the bag looked worse. It was not matte when it dried and it did not shine when I buffed it. It just went from wet to dry.I went over it afterwards with the same Mr. Leather cleaner and conditioner I use on my couch and it looked better, but I was hoping for something more for this product. I will probably throw it away.

...left my shoes dull
Easy to apply, no more messy than expected. However, not sure if all conditioners do this, but while this conditioner softened the leather, it left my shoes dull, took some of the shine off, even after buffing. I used it to help break in some new shoes. I'm going to try some others to see how they work for comparison.

A Fantastic Product
I have a saddle that I thought I would never get to soften. I picked a Stubbed up about a year ago and even after the normal saddle soap and Neatsfoot oil regiment several times, the saddle was just stiff and aged. I knew it would take time to bring it back to life, but I can genuinely say that Lords worked better then I hoped. When I first started working in the saddle it was orange and dried up from no care. After working on it with other products, it had started to darken up. With one application of Lords it deepened to a beautiful mahogany. It's not all the way yet, but I have only done one treatment so far. It is softer and flexing easier then it ever has since I got it. The saddle is still just absorbing it up, so I know I have some more work to do, but this product does seem to work. The pictures are after the first application.

But i have a few favorite pairs of shoes which turned to be very comfortable
I've never really used any leather conditioner before so I didn't even know what to expect. I change my shoes very often and constantly buy new ones so i didn't really have any old leather pieces which needed to be "revived" . But i have a few favorite pairs of shoes which turned to be very comfortable. Hopefully they will last me several seasons. So I thought it was about time to start taking care of my stuff :). Anyways i bought this conditioner based on all the wonderful reviews and I wasn't disappointed. The shoes did look very nice after I used the product on them. But once again those shoes were in a very good close to perfect condition regardless. I was particularly impressed by the Customer Service. I contacted them to clarify something and was simply stunned by their super friendly, warm, professional and prompt responses. Heart warming. Thank you Amazon for wonderful sellers.
