Re-live the '80s
This collection of songs contains some treasures that you may not recogize, but will surely grow to love. Great energy and fun music that reflects the 1980s for those of us of a certain age.

One of the best soundtracks
I like nearly every song on this soundtrack. It's nice to be able to listen to a movie soundtrack and think of the accompanying scene as opposed to one that is either loaded with instrumental music or tunes that weren't in the movie.I especially love U2's "Dancing Barefoot." Not only is U2 a great band in general but their soundtrack work is just as good as their regular material. I also enjoyed Duran Duran's "Make Me Smile (Come Up and See Me)." I tended to think of them as just a band of the 80's but was proved wrong. The movie was enjoyable and so is the soundtrack.

Decent soundtrack
Bryan Ferry cut is really good here, to bad the other artist couldn't apply themselves.Duran duran song is intantly forgettable.General Public cover of the Staple singers tune is very enjoyable. U2's cover a Patti smith is decent. Tears for fears is really trying hard to make a comeback still, please just repeat The Hurting, or Songs from the big chair, thats all people want to hear from you. To be fare this soundtrack in about ten years to late, if it where released 10 years before it actualy released it would probably of been a classic sound track. If you like eighties music released ten years out of context pick this up, it is somewhat timeless.

Generally Good Collection
An oddball collection of tracks serve as a soundtrack. Three previously-released B-sides by 80's bands (TFF's "New Star", U2's "Dancing Barefoot" and Duran Duran's "Make Me Smile") are perhaps the strangest items here, but they're all OK. General Public's take on the Staple Singers' "I'll Take You There" is OK but starts to grate after awhile. Other highlights include New Order's inarguable "Bizarre Love Triangle" (which appears in an odd single mix), and The The's catchy "That Was the Day". Nothing on this album is truly bad, although several songs (Brad's "Buttercup", Teenage Fanclub's "Like a Virgin") simply aren't interesting. Probably worth picking up cheap.
