It's All About Family
I have fallen in love with Colorado. If I had the chance to visit Colorado, I would have one disappointment. The Westmorelands would not live near by or any where. I would definitely want to visit them. Canyon is only one of the many brothers, cousins, etc. Canyon by Brenda Jackson is not only about love and romance. It is also about family and the importance of forgiveness.I think it was most hardest for Keisha to learn the gift of forgiveness. Keisha could easily see the bad and not the good in the other person. This character trait led her to make a huge, awful judgment about her true love, Canyon Westmoreland. Then, she also had to learn the hard lesson of forgiving herself. Canyon's love for Keisha is true. His love for her is as wide as the Grand Canyon. He seems able to forgive her so easily. He is also able to teach Keisha how to forgive herself. The reason for Canyon's name made me chuckle. In Canyon, she draws on her suspense and mystery gloves along with her psychological gloves. Reading this novel helped me to see the intricacy of forgiveness. There is more to forgiveness than the three words "I forgive you." Reading about Keisha learning this lesson for the sake of herself, Beau, Canyon, her mom and Kenneth Drews and the Westmoreland family is fascinating. There were times I wanted to not forgive a character. A couple of characters walked on my last nerve. For example, Kenneth Drew is Keisha's father. From the beginning he says Keisha is not his child. He breaks Keisha's mother's heart. Only after fifteen years does he meet and accept Keisha. Then, there is Bonita. When I met her, she had died in a car crash. That didn't stop me from wanting to pull her out of the grave and shake her. She is a terrible friend to Keisha and hurts her love, Michael. This is where Brenda Jackson delves deeply into the Mental Health world. Canyon by Brenda Jackson is powerful. I now am ready to meet the rest of the Westmorelands. Can't say when but meeting them is definitely on my agenda. I might spend this evening looking up at the sky for "Flash" with Music of the Night playing in the background. This is definitely a starry, bright romance.[...]

What's Done in the Dark Comes to Light!!!
I loved this story!!!!!!! Canyon is my hero. (Sigh)A misunderstanding kept Canyon and Keisha apart for almost three years. When she comes back to town he tries to go after her, but she has a secret she wants to keep from him.It wasn't until Canyon follows her home that he uncovers the real reason why Keisha doesn't want to see him. Well, the story heats up after an unthinkable discovery. He has father a kid and Keisha did not tell him. Canyon is a take charge kind of guy. He wanted answers and he was not going to stop until he got them - and maybe the girl too - we shall see about that.Keisha had a multitude of issues flowing through her head. Feelings she struggled with her entire life. She was an independent strong will, stubborn and unforgiving woman. It will take the love, compassion and determination of Canyon Westmoreland to help her conquered her demons. Although Keisha wronged him, Canyon desire to have a connection with his son and the mother of his child compelled him to stand up and stake his claim in their lives. This was a very well written story with lots of twists and turns. To me the whole premises of this story were forgiveness and love. Brenda Jackson intertwined some intense issues with that of delicate feelings of love, friendship and family; this is what I love about her stories. She gives us insight into several other stories on the horizon in the next book in this trilogy - that of Stern and Jo Jo as well as Jill and Aiden. Can't wait for the next book. You don't want to miss out on this really great storyline created by Mrs. Jackson.

Once again love is delayed due to trust!
Once again Brenda has given us a great novel. Canyon and Keisha's story can be summed up in one word trust! Keisha has been hurt in the past by her father denying his being her paternal father and she lets this spill over into her adult life. Canyon was ultimately set up by her so called friend and caused them to break up for 3 years but circumstances and chance have a way of bringing things full circle.I really enjoyed the novel, I liked the suspense, the chase, the story is just another one of her greats. Brenda always weaves a great tale and she did not disappoint in Canyon Westmoreland's story. I found a few errors hence the reason for 4 stars but overall a great novel. Now on to Stern and JoJo's story!Keep up the great work Brenda Jackson, I will keep reading and enjoying your happily ever romance novels. I know there are a lot of women who would like to find a Westmoreland man!

Canyon (The Westmorelands Series) Book 26
I know I am late to the party but I have just read my first Brenda Jackson book and enjoyed it! Don't ask me why I started at book 26. A book buddy was very kindle and brought me book 1 in kindle format as this is not available in the UK.I have to admit I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this book. Even though there was some angst in the story it was classy and they were still respectful to each other. Nicely done.I do have to admit that as the reason unfolded as to what had gone wrong it the relationship and why, that was a little far fetched for me but this did not spoil the journey of reading this book.I am going to start the series from the beginning now, another series with lots of books to get into. I would like to highly recommend this story as a great read.

Not disappointed
The only problem I have with Brenda Jacksons book is the wait in between. She has a way of drawing you into her stories and they seem so real. I feel like I know the Westmorlands. She can paint a picture of the surroundings and each character so that you feel like you are actually seeing them. The love scenes are always HOT and believable! You are never lost with any of her characters because she tells you who is who and brings you right up to date no matter how long it has been between books. Canyon is no different. He was deep thinker but strong Alpha male. He was in love and didn't mind going after what he wanted. I love his and Keisha's story. I recommend any book Brenda Jackson writes. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!!!!
