    Disappointing

I've been trying to imagine who would find this book useful.  It's highly theoretical, but not in a practical way.  Stuffed full of equations (thermodynamics, etc.), there's little in it that would actually help in the design of one of these buildings.  It basically says use the PHPP software.  What this field REALLY needs is a practical book that builders could use along the lines of Carpentry & Building Construction by Spence, but tailored to this field.  I read a lot of books in a year, and return very few, but this just might be one of them.
