Nice performance, love the glossy finish, which the old one never had.Find an experience tech to replace it, but if you do it using the tech manual for the 6715b in the last step, you will have to use the display panel cable from the old screen and connect it to the new one, using the old metallic cover from the old one too.Besides that, the installation went without problem and the screen is working great.

I managed to break my computer's screen last week, but didn't want to buy a new computer, because from the half of the screen that still worked it appeared that the rest of the computer was still functioning well. I am now incredibly glad that I got this screen, because it is working perfectly! The only slight downside was that the screen didn't come with replacement instructions so I was a bit nervous taking things apart, but it's actually not that tough to figure out, so that didn't affect my rating at all.Quick piece of advice: Before you buy, call HP to make sure that this is the correct screen for your computer. From researching online, the 6730b could have had two types of screens (one WXGA, and one WSXGA) which require slightly different amounts of energy from the computer, so that might be worth checking into. If you call, be ready to provide the serial number and product number (on the bottom of the machine), and be sure to tell them you are NOT interested in buying a new computer or else they will try to convince you to do so... but even if one person won't stop trying to sell to you, just hang up and call back and you'll probably get a different person who will actually answer your question.
