Could be a lifesaver!
I have a 100 lb lab mix who acts like he's going to go through the door at anyone who rings our doorbell. Add to that five other dogs who 'cheer' him on, and the noise is intolerable. Also, if I actually have to answer the door, I worry one or more of the dogs might get past me, so I usually used to go out the back door and walk around to the front. They need training, I know, and I'm working on it. But in the meantime... This product is a miracle! Why it gets their attention so easily I don't know, but it does. I've been using it a month now and they pay attention to it just as well as the first time I used it. In fact, all I now usually have to do is say 'where's my can?' and six doggy brains stop mid-bark and look at me. There is a difference between using something like this on occasion to stop unwanted behaviour and actually training a dog not to do a behaviour, but, hey, I'll take it. I'm even thinking of getting one for my letter carrier for Christmas to make up for all the verbal doggy abuse she's had to endure over the years. And seriously, in a bad situation, this could be a lifesaver. It makes a loud noise a lot like a hot air balloon burner and will also stop my aggressive female cold when she is trying to 'discipline' one of the other dogs. In fact, since I started using it she has become much more attentive to commands in general. My only complaint is that it's ridiculously expensive - hence the four stars instead of five. As far as I can tell, it's the same thing as the compressed air you use to blow out your computer keyboard.ETA: Several months in and it still works great. It lets me feel more secure when leaving my dogs with someone else in charge, too, knowing that they have a tool that makes the pack much more compliant when necessary.

Correct bad behavior in a moments notice!
This works SO well!! It is a large burst of air which you don't point right at your pet, you don't have to.....just pull the trigger! Believe me, they will STOP whatever they are doing! I don't even have to pull the trigger much any more once I pick up the can they scatter! FIRST time I used this my husband was asleep and I was watching TV in bed and a couple of the cats were on the bed sleeping peacefully and two of them were aggravating each other behind the drapes, under the bed, etc. I pulled the trigger not really knowing what to expect and it was so loud it startled me, and scared the crap out of my husband and ALL of the pets! They ALL jumped straight up, even the ones that were sleeping. I have to admit it was extremely effective, not to mention funny as all get out! It really does work and is a wonderful deterrent to bad behavior.

News flash: crazy dog stops barking!
What are you supposed to do when your dog rushes an open front door, jumps and barks out of control when you leave and claws your legs trying to keep you there? We tried pretty much everything: classes, treats, a professional trainer. She still channeled a demon attempting to escape the pits of despair. We got this as a half joke. It works. Yes, it's a can of compressed air with a hissing whistle on the end of it. Seems super silly to look at but my lord, she no longer makes a sound when I touch the door knob and does not attempt to claw my legs as I leave. This silly can of compressed air did what a professional trainer could not. While she is still psycho crazy, at least the crazy is contained to the house now. After all, we can't expect magic to eminate from the compressed can o' air, can we?

Made to break - design snaps off while taking out of box!
Instantly broke the horn off before I could use, was unable to reattach or return due to 30 day return period. horn held in place by less than a millimeter of plastic around the tube _actually spot-welded in for points if I recall) that connects the can with the horn. without he horn it is useless. I tried super glue and even plastic welding but was unable to weld the bottom of the horn due to the trigger being in the way so that was a waste of time.Bad design, redesign for pennies more to make the horn junction solid please. This is canned air for gosh sake. Better yet, make a replacement top that fits standard air cans. No fuss, no muss, no unit-taskers filling up my life with clutter.. .....no profit though! so sell it for $25 and see if I care. If it works it works. word will get around.planned obsolescence sucks. gtoogle that - planned obsolescence. there is a YouTube documentary video worth watching, should be mandatory watching for all public school students in fact. We are treating our world as an infinite garbage dump. This product = Case in point Enjoy!Just FYI: bottle of canned air of sale. will include broken horn at no expense. pay shipping only. For salea: can of compressed air, slightly used ;)

She has develope a habit of barking for attention and is especially bad when I have clients in my office
I work at home and my 7 year old labrador Molly is a problem. She has develope a habit of barking for attention and is especially bad when I have clients in my office. It got so embarrassing, that I was really frustrated. A friend gave us this product recommendation, and off I went to Amazon. Because I don't get out shopping Amazon is my go to store, so I ordered 3 to keep at different places. Within 2 days, the barking and attention getting was reduced to zero. Molly takes one look at the can and goes immediately to her pet bed. I have owned dogs my entire life and never had such a great training tool. You and your pets will be so much happier!

awesome! Don't know if it will work on all ...
I was skeptical that the sound of aerosol would do anything to help with dog obedience. I used it twice...now all I have to do it make a sound similar and my dog immediately stops what he is doing and gives me his attention. He no longer jumps on people, he no longer takes off when he gets out in the front, he will actually drop a toy he has fetched so that I can throw it again instead of making me chase him...awesome! Don't know if it will work on all dogs, but mine definitely has responded to the sound...in fact, I was using hairspray the other day and noticed he stopped digging into the laundry to make a nest and was looking at me, waiting for direction!
