It has so many uses for photo and video production. It can easily support the weight of a DSLR or mirrorless camera even with a fairly large lens allowing you to get creative angles not possible with a traditional tripod. I've also used it to hold lights, a monitor and reflectors. Like having an extra hand in the studio. The ability to add lengths or shorten is a bonus. Takes a little muscle to add lengths and move the arm to different positions but that only adds to the stability. Add an optional clip to the other end and it can hold just about anything. Will also support any piece of gear that uses a 1/4 20 thread.
