Technivorm uses a copper heating element and you should make sure this is safe for copper. Descalers based on Citric Acid are especially harmful. Vinegar also damages tubing over time. I would spend the extra bucks and use the MFR suggested descaler which is Duragol. It can save your $300 coffeepot! **Q: What is in this?** A: According to the MSDS, in the bottle it’s 7-10% citric acid and 3-7% sulfamic acid. Most likely the rest of the solution is water. The dilution directions are pretty vague, but it’s generally a small amount of solution in a large volume of water... so those percentages are going to go substantially down at time of use to reach the actual working ratios. **Q: Does it go into the water reservoir? how do i use it? i’m just trying to figure out if this is what i’m looking for to clean the bottom of the tank.** A: Yes.....mix one bottle of Descaler with fresh water up to the top of the fill line in your reservoir.....run through your coffee maker like you were making coffee.....then fill water reservoir up again with fresh water and run through.....repeat once more and you will have a nice clean coffee machine..... **Q: Keurig K910 does not light go off descaler.** A: I did not concern myself with the descaler light. I dumped the water in the reservoir and took the time to wash out the reservoir with dish soap and warm water. When the reservoir was clean I rinsed it well. Then put the reservoir back on the coffee machine. I added the half bottle of descaler but I added hot tap water to fill reservoir after adding the descaler to the empty. I kept running the brewing cycle until the add water light came on. I then ran 3 full reservoirs of warm water to rinse out the complete system. I love that it comes in a big two pack. The scent isn't very strong, so the smell does not linger thankfully. I put this in my Veturo Pop machine, and it works like a dream! It removes all of the guck that was building up. Pretty fast and easy to use. I switched from the genuine KEURIG brand cleaner to this and have been pleased! I have a Keurig K71 Platinum Edition and Keurig K70 Platinum Edition and a newer Keurig K Elite. I also have an older Keurig K60 I gave my mother. The K71 has been in my office for years, and the Keurig K70 was in my home for many years before I bought the Elite and donated it to my work's break room. The K71 and K70 are well over 10 years old and still work like new as does the K60!. A few secrets:1. I have ONLY ever used filtered water (Brita pitcher or filtered out of the fridge) and use charcoal reservoir filters in the water tanks on the machines (they all had the optional filter system). This keeps nasty minerals out of the machine2. I clean them every 6 months with this descale cleaner. It's a great value and keeps them running like new! The K-Elite sees heavy use and the K-70 also saw heavy use for many years. Clean water is the key to keeping them happy and running good.
