STANDARD IGNSTANDARD IGN Motor Products KS197 Knock Sensor

Fixed my CEL P0325 on my 2002 Acura RSX - Base. I had to remove the intake manifold to get to this part, which is tucked right near the manifold. I'm by no means a mechanic by trade, but it took me 20 mins to get to this knock sensor.Removal of old part:Remove intake tube, remove 4x bolts holding throttle body. Remove any vacuum lines and connectors near the intake manifold vicinity. Remove upper radiator support bolts (4x bolts) and radiator hold mount(2x bolts) then slide the support forward. Remove 5x bolts holding the plastic intake manifold. Remove 1x harness clip from the bottom of the intake manifold, green in color. Pull out the intake manifold. Remove knock sensor connector and loosen knock sensor with a 27mm deep socket.Installation:Reverse of the removal. Torque the new knock sensor to 23 ft.lbs. The intake manifold and throttle body bolts torque down to 16 ft.lbs. As found in the service manual.Quality of the replacement part:Great quality. I compared the factory installed one to this replacement part, exactly the same markings. Great price for more than half the cost of a genuine part.

Do not buy this, it doesn't work at all. It worked for a couple of weeks I think, and then died. It also totally rusted by the time I had to replace it, and weighs about 1/3 as much as the genuine part, meaning it's using cheap, non-stainless metal. And on top of that, it's not that much cheaper than the genuine honda part.Just do yourself a favor and spend the extra $30 bucks on a genuine part. This piece of garbage died just outside of the return window, so now I'm stuck with it.

Not a lot to say here...application is a 2002 Honda CR-V (2.4l DOHC) K24. This item was an exact replacement part. From design and construction to the identifying marks printed on it.

Perfect match and fit to original OEM device. Installed in a 2003 Honda CR-V EX. Cleared up my P0325 Knock Sensor code. Has been in about 10 days now with both higway and local driving. No code has come back. Significantly cheaper than OEM part.

Worked fine in my 2003 CRV. It was a pain to get to where this was in the car but it worked and took care of my check engine light code. There is a youtube video that is helpful in figuring out how to install.
