These non-GMO, heirloom seeds are open-pollinated and boast a high germination rate, making them perfect for vegetable gardening. With a maturity period of 75-85 days, these seeds are ideal for annual crops in USDA hardiness zones, ensuring a bountiful harvest.

Good viability in these seeds.
I thought they were a bit pricey for 18 seeds. If you've never grown fava beans. Give it a try. My acquaintance from Japan says they can be eaten boiled like edamame beans, only fava (Broad) beans are much bigger. I found that on one mature plant, I probably got 9 -12 big pods.

Great purchase
My family has planted fava beans for years and needed to find a new source of seed after a local ag store closed. We are in the Central Valley of California and I plant the seeds around the first rain (October ish). Then no additional watering until spring. These beans are perfect for me—the larger beans which I associate with Windsor type. A previous purchase from another seller gave me smaller + OK beans but not as nice as these. Excellent yield in garden box. At first taste raw off of the plant, they are wonderful. Will be able to freeze a lot for the rest of the year. Only used half of the bag and will store the rest in the refrigerator for next year. Very very happy with this purchase

Excellent germination
The seeds arrived nicely packaged. They all looked fresh and clean. From 2 bags I only had one seed broken. I planted them the first week of September and kept them well watered. They all germinated in couple weeks. I'll definitely buy again.
