Filtro di buona fattura con assorbimento nella norma, ghiera sottile ma " prensile" per una rotazione comoda senza paraluce (attenzione ai raggi frontali). Alla minima focale (10mm eq. 15mm/135) la polarizzazione va controllata in quanto la porzione di cielo inquadrato esce dall'angolo ottimale risultando disomogenea (questo vale per qualsiasi polarizzatore). Al contrario di quanto spesso considerato NON è un filtro di protezione e non va montato se non quando espressamente richiesto. Spesso è utile dosare la polarizzazione non portandola al massimo, soprattutto sulle foglie verdi, che tendono ad apparire "gessose e opache". L'angolo ottimale di incidenza verticale per il miglior effetto (es. su superfici d'acqua) è di circa 35°.
