I use this awesome slicer to make my baked potato chips...even, thin slices every time. The modular pieces are easy to swap out and the whole thing is a breeze to clean. I highly recommend this for anyone wanting to go on a slicing rampage with their vegetables.

This is a pretty basic standard mandoline that is good for first time users. The only issue I had is that there is a skinny plastic bar on the bottom that makes it difficult to clean the blade properly - would be great if this snapped in and out to make cleaning easier.

This mandoline has lots of slicer options which is really nice. We used potatoes to test it out. I had great success with smaller potatoes using all the different blade size options. We tried using it to make long sweet potato fries and it really did not work well. I had trouble moving the large potato through the blade. I think this is because it did not fit in the handle/guard. However, I would definitely not use it without the guard. When using small to medium potatoes it easily cut through them making slices so thin you could see through them, thck slices for making scalloped potatos, or even french fries.The mandoline was larger than I expected. Which is nice to have the larger cutting surface but I am not really sure where I am going to keep it with such a sharp large blade always exposed. I would like to see some kind of protective blade cover to use when it is being stored. The stand for the different size insert does a great job of keeping them organised and covering the blades on those. The other thing I would like to see is better instructions there is just a few pictures on the side of the box.I received this product at a discount for my honest and unbiased review.

I loved all of the interchangeable blade attachments. Theres a variety of blades to cut into different shapes and sizes. And my favorite feature was that it was so easy to clean. It literally took me about 15-20 seconds to get it completely clean . It rinses clean very quickly. I had guests come over and i was running late with the food so i was so grateful that i had this to use because i was able to throw together a plate of veggies and dip for them in a matter of about 30 -45 seconds to munch on while i got the rest of the food finished up.I included a picture so you can see the quality and effectiveness of the slicer . It cuts very consistent cuts and allows you to get the most out of the veggies down to the very ends. Its very quick and efficient and makes my life so much easier and quicker when i make salads , veggie trays , and dinner . The V Blade Mandoline slicer was fantastic! I was able to slice my fruit and vegetables fast and productive. I like how my apples were sliced thin and thick, I froze the apples for future apple pie. I would rather eat healthy and make my own French fries they were yummy and made quickly. My salads will be the envy at my friends pot lucks, kids will want to eat there fun sliced veggies and my veggie trays at parties will be so appetizing with the fancy sliced healthy veggies an fruits. The machine is easy to change the blades. The slicer is slip resistant while on the counter in use. I like the hand held piece to protect your hand while slicing the piece of fruit or veg, the blade is very sharp and this is a plus that they added this extra piece to the set. clean up was a breeze, I used hot soapy water and air dried it immediately after use and stored it back in the box for future use.
