One of the best colors

I've tried every brand I could find, including small home-based companies that make encaustic paint & medium, as to experience the best products to make the best product, but also to enjoy the process of making art with materials that are going to give me the least amount of trouble. There is nothing like R & F; they seem to be the oldest company, and also seem to be the most highly pigmented paints. This neutral white I would use over most white, most of the time. R & F is the best of the best, like fine chocolate or wine, worth every penny. I am not sure where to buy the paint cheaper, at the site or on here, etc.

This color says, "Spring!" Very pigmented. A little goes a very long way.

Raw Umber is very dark and opaque. Think dark chocolate. Though a bit pricey, most of these colors can be extended quite a bit with encaustic medium. I keep the pellet form of the medium on hand just for that purpose. Generally, the larger the size you purchase the better the value, too.

Rich creamy color as always. R&F products are all “top of the line.” Wish they were a little less excited but, they are the best.

R&F is the premier brand for encaustic paint and it lives up to expectations. I use it diluted or full strength and it is a soft white color. Perfect.R&F Encaustic 40ml Paint, Neutral White I am happy with this product.

All my R&F encaustic supplies are great. Expensive but no more than others unless I make them my self. Melting damar resin crystals is a lot of work!
