My use case was to watch movies without lip sync issues. I could get a set of bluetooth headphones but I have many wired ‘phones as it is. This device allows me to use them with any USB C device (Mac, Chromebook etc.). As a test for this review I tried my (now discontinued) Sennheiser MOMENTUM In-Ear headphones (it has a mic and a remote control). The sound was super, and the remote control (volume up/down and play/pause) worked. If you want audiophile quality from your iPad, then buy a dedicated USB C headphone amplifier. Or if your budget stretches (And you want top quality input) consider a USB C interface.
