This headband does not have a red light all three light settings are white **Q: Has anyone used these in minus temperatures? Do the batteries last. Looking to purchase some for Lapland.** A: I have been using mine in minus temperatures this winter without any problems. The batteries are still going well after 2 months of use. I suppose it depends on how often and how long you have the torch switched on. I use mine for about 15 minutes a night on the lower setting whilst walking the dog. **Q: Is it waterproof in a rainy environment?** A: I doubt they would withstand much more than a bit of water on their surface .
