That catch-her-playing-pretend-Juggle-Bubbles brand of crazy.So, I placed a quick order and felt like Dad of the Year. Then, days later, I read the myriad of poor reviews. My heart dropped-- I had made a horrible, no good, awful mistake. I could see it- she was going to open them up, try to play with them, and then fall into a crying, sobbing heap of a mess when they didn't work.But, the cards had been dealt, the present was already wrapped, and I had tied my fate to a shoddy product.D-day. She opens them, screams out "You got me JUGGLE BUBBLES?! I LOVE YOU DADDY!!!" I played along, but my heart wasn't in it. Only I knew what was about to happen. "Shh, sweetie, it will all be over soon" I thought.We went outside to play with them. I carefully read the instructions, thinking "Maybe, if I do everything right, the Juggle Bubbles won't fail catastrophically and I'll be able to let her down gently." So, we made sure not to shake the bubbles. We blew only one at a time. We let it sit on the tip of the wand for 5 seconds. We dismounted the bubble with a gentle downward flick. We did everything right for this first, fateful bubble.My breath stopped. The bubble floated slowly toward her outstretched gloves, almost imperceptibly slowly. My jaw clenched. My colon fluttered. The bubble touched her gloves, and I braced for the coming explosion of bubble solution and angry, confused tears.Then, the craziest thing happened- THEY WORKED! They really, really worked, and she has been playing Juggle Bubbles as the sun sets over our yard on the eve of her birth eight very short years ago. It made the perfect end to a perfect day. Birthday accomplished.Minus one star because they run out really fast (the bottle only lasted us a couple of days). I can't help but wonder why they worked so poorly for so many people. Did we get a good batch, while they got poor ones? Maybe. But I have to ask all of the other reviewers out there... The reason I gave it 4 stars out of 5 because it only comes with a 4oz bottle of bubble solution. Weak!! And also because the directions should be written better. It takes about half of the 4 oz bottle to get the hang of it. You have to blow the bubble to the desired size than use a good flick of the wrist to make it come off the blower without popping.So my recommendation to you is: order some juggle bubble refill solution with your activity set or you'll be sad waiting for more to arrive after you blow through the first small bottle.It is super cool!!!! We received them quickly, (2 days). In the package was a small tray in which to pour the bubbles, a pair of orange gloves, a blowing tool, and a very small container of bubbles. The bubbles weren't anything special (no special formula, it seems, to make them "stronger"), and like I said, I was put off by the very small container of bubbles. For $10, I expect more. We found the technique needed to blow the bubbles relatively easily, but the bubbles didn't juggle very well, even when the gloves were dry (as per the instruction pamphlet). My boy was left wanting, so I ended up going online to find a homemade "giant bubble" recipe, ordered some vegetable glycerine, and upon it's arrival, made our own. Those were much tougher and lasted longer.
